So what did the music of 1959 sound like? There was straightforward rock and roll, folk music, jazzy singles, and of course, there were tender ballads.

Today we have a combination of it all, and if you believe I have strayed too far away from the rock oldies I usually play, it’s important to remember that the music of 1959 was scattered all over the place. Today’s medley proves that.
