An Archived Party!

FROM THE ARCHIVES…

Yeah, it’s Friday and that means it’s time for a rock and roll party, right?

Well, there certainly are rock and roll songs in this medley, but not all of them fit that description. There’s a soft love song or two, a country music song, and a great opener by the man who epitomized the word party, so what we’re calling this is a party … just a Friday party, with a couple of dedications thrown in for good measure. πŸ™‚

Yeah, yeah, I know it’s a little longer than the preferred 35 minutes, but too much music is never a bad thing! ❀

There’s also a request for help as I’m asking you to send me ONE, just ONE song from the Sixties that you love. Just ONE. You can do it by leaving a comment here or on the Memory Medleys Facebook page. Thank you! ❀

I may not respond to requests or comments as quickly as I usually do because while you’re listening to this medley, I will be at the hospital, undergoing medical tests prior to my March 13 surgery. But I WILL respond as soon as possible.

Oh so very good! Songs that I haven’t heard for a while and others that I just could sing over and over. This is always such a pleasure! From Jimmy Buffett, all the way to Toby Keith! Always love, Jimmy Buffett, and Toby what can I say? Oh my God what a guy, I remember singing with his songs while he was in concert at the shoreline amphitheater in Mountain View, California. The most fun concert ever! I even bought a baseball cap, with whiskey girl on it. All the rest of these songs were awesome. Thank you so much for this archive Friday, and I am thinking about you getting into those test required for your surgery. I am thinking the very best thoughts and saying the most reverent prayers. Have a very good feeling about this surgery coming up and I think this is going to be you got a moment! You’re the best!😎πŸ₯°

Another good one, but I was unable to share it with Killian YET. His Dad has work off today for his birthday and they’re hangin’.
There were 4 songs that hung out there for me:
    1. “Love Is All Around” by the Troggs
    2. “Girl Watcher” by the O’Kaysions (I never knew what group sang this song! – thank you.)
    3. “Mellow Yellow” by Donavan (The girls who I was friends with turned me on to Donavan.)
    4. “I Love This Bar” by Toby Keith

I remember “You’re My Best Friend” mostly from the TV show, “Family Guy”, but didn’t realize that was Queen!

Thank you, Ray and you know that Killian’s request is The Animals” “House of the Rising Sun”. I’ll go with Cream’s “Sunshine Of Your Love” this time.

Thanks, Jim … and soon, Killian!
I’m very glad I could help with some of the “missing” information, and I thank you for your requests!
I am gassed tonight so I’m going to have to cut this short. ❀
