Ten days ago, I posted the Top 10 songs for February 11, 1962. Today I am doing the same thing for February 21, 1965. Once again, I’m playing them in reverse chronological order … #10 first and all the way down to the #1 song in America 57 years ago today!

The innocence of three years earlier had faded away and the lyrical content of these songs showed that, although it was a far cry from what was coming.

I do want to point out that one song (The Kingsmen) may hold the record for the worst production in Top 10 history. There is virtually no way to clean up the mess they made.
