    Ray, you very nicely summarized the 4 way election of 1860 in one paragraph what has taken authors whole volumes. Did I teach you guys about Grover Cleveland’s campaign jingo that he had to deal with? Kid:”Ma ma where’s my paw”? Answer from poor mom living in a city where GC once visited in his first campaign,”In the White House haw haw haw”. Almost forgot(we Mainers like to forget this), the election from yesterday slogan hung on presidential contender James G Blaine: “James G Blaine the continental liar from Maine”. He was not that bad ….Consider our present Governor.
