A Very Special Medley!

This isn’t just any ordinary Monday! This is the day you get to hear – in addition to a lot of incredible music sure to bring back memories – a very rare chance to hear me sing a duet with a famous rock and roll legend … FOR REAL!

I will admit the duet isn’t a particularly long one, but it is a duet, now immortalized in the archives of this site!

As for the other songs, we have the first song to ever hold a Billboard Number One ranking, two songs that were Number One on this date, the release of a masterpiece album on this date, two catchy country music songs which crossed over onto the pop charts, and a whole lot more!

Did I tell you there’s a duet featuring a famous singer and me? Yeah, I did. Just checking to see if you were paying attention. 🙂

This was certainly great on a Monday morning beginning with the mamas and Papas and Monday, Monday! I loved all the rest of the songs. I loved your little duet as the Heather weather! I’m working with a new phone and I’m having some challenges believe it or not. It’s amazing how you become used to something older and you just aren’t quite in gear yet. But terrific glad you’re back and remember, “you’re the best“🥰

      Thank you, Sandy! ❤️
I have never used my phone to listen to anything, other than a voice on the other end (duh! 🤣)
I’ve heard what music sounds like on a phone and it gives me the chills. The clarity is all but invisible. I use my computer, but that’s just me.
I’m very glad you enjoyed it! ❤️

Listening on the phone is almost never an option for me. But I do pair it to my Bluetooth Bose speaker on the TV and then I get the most gorgeous sound in the world and I can turn it up as loud as I want! It’s very mellow! it took me a good 15 minutes to figure out how to get it to activate on this new phone. But once I found out, – – watch out!

Well, you’re a lot smarter than I am. Or maybe I’m just lazy. Nope, you’re a lot smarter! ❤️

Tapestry has held up well, aging as gracefully as it’s author.

It has held up very well, Tim. I could have played a lot of songs off that album and any one of them would have been highlights!

I love Carol King and just about any song she sang. I was fourtunate enough to see her twice in concert. Paul and Paula’s Hey Hey Paula” was another of my favorites in this mix of great music.
Killian liked Trace Atkins’ “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk”. I’m guessing it was the Badonkadonk that got him! He also liked Dan Seals’ “Bop”.
Some great information about songs and their writers today. I had no idea England Dan was Dan Seals.
Great duet with you and Freddy Cannon. I’ll bet Heather loved hearing it! Killian and I just had to sing it a few times. A good segway into Tommy Roe’s song!

Thank you, Jim and Killian! ❤️❤️
I just knew Trace’s song would be enjoyed by Killian!
Here’s another Dan Seals factoid. His brother was Jim Seals of Seals & Crofts. Sadly, both Dan and Jim are now gone.
Seeing Carole King in concert not once, but twice is pretty impressive! I really have to play more of her music.
I’m sure Heather is going to be pleased. I know she sure was that day!

I may have played “I Feel The Earth Move,” but you’re right, Carole’s songs have been too ignored on my part. That’s my bad.

I never was tired of singing it, but I think anyone who ever heard the original would have to admit Freddy Cannon added a certain something to it. ❤️
