It’s that time of the week when we put all the “quiet” music to one side and focus on good old rock and roll! Once again, the music is split, with the first half featuring “oldies” and the second half featuring “classic” rock, ending with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones’ epic tour de force on keyboards!
There will be a short intermission between the two. I spend about 50 seconds discussing what’s going on with my cancer fight and what’s coming down the road.
After that, it’s back to the music! By the way, this medley is long, as in 50 minutes, and should get you motoring straight into the weekend on a high note (pun intended)!

Good morning Ray, we are thinking positive thoughts about your upcoming procedures. God bless you.
Thank you, Marty & Karen. ❤
I have given it all to God. I am in good hands.
God bless you❤
Well I am definitely an oldies girl! My son and husband have worried looks when they hear the hard rock flowing out of my speakers. But I hang in there to the end. You are in my thoughts daily, and so appreciate you sharing your C journey with us. I know you will come through this better than ever! Held in God’s holy hand and him captaining the ship, it should be smooth sailing. May all of our prayers be the wind beneath your wings. You are loved and blessed. I have your surgery date on my calendar, so I’ll be thinking of you then! Carry on dear friend, and may all go well next week. 🤎
Thank you, Bonnie 🤎
As I said elsewhere on this page, I believe I wandered too far off the path with some of the classic rock. Not all of it, but some. I will be reigning it a bit when I return. Thanks for hanging in there! 😉
Thank you so much for your beautiful words of comfort.. I will hold them close in the coming weeks. 🤎
I thoroughly enjoyed all these songs today. I just haven’t stopped smiling!! 🩷Thanks Ray!!! Enjoy your weekend and I hope all your tests go well next week. 🙏🏻🩷🙏🏻🩷
Thank you, Jackie! ❤ I am thrilled that you enjoyed the music! Thanks you for your concern regarding next week. I’m counting on God being right beside me. ❤
This was such a great Friday medley! I’m getting more used to these split rocks now, and you sure did pick some good ones. I have always thought that the Lovin spoonful was a great group. And of course my beach boys always fulfill my music requirements. Something about that group! Chubby Checker loved it. And then moving onto the classic rock though it has never been my favorite because it’s not my era I still loved what you picked out and I do recognize and even kind of, sort of harmonize, whistle, etc. along with! I do want to make mention and recognize your little speech as you called it, and let you know that I send you love and prayers for the upcoming procedures that you have, and I will miss you this next week, but I also know the importance of getting yourself ready for that surgery. I admire and certainly concur with your reckoning. I think for anyone who has had cancer they have had to face it head on, and make decisions. Just keep that positive attitude. It is so important!! And the support group that you have in all of us is absolutely magnificent. We will all be praying for you daily and during the surgery. And remember, “you’re the best!”. Sending hugs.🥰
Thank you, Sandy ❤
I think I may have to corral my passion for classic rock just a bit. Its a little off the beaten path of what the site is supposed to be about.
As for “the speech,” thank you for your eloquent words. They are very calming and I love you for them! ❤
Thank you for sharing your health journey with us. We will all be thinking of you next week and wishing you well. Taking one day at a time is the way to go!!
Thank you, Judy ❤
I have given this situation to Almighty God. He is the perfect protector.
I sincerely appreciate your concern.
Good Morning Ray. Ted & I listened to your 1/2&1/2 medley this morning, Thank you 🙂 Take time to rest & relax, pre-surgery appts. seem to multify before a surgery. I’m sure 100% of your listeners will enjoy whatever you post or don’t post & all will continue to keep including you in their prayers as you do for us. Have a good day Ray.
Thank you so much, Lee & Ted ❤❤
I appreciate the prayers and support more than you could ever know.
The medley was wonderful. Ray, my heart goes out to you for all that you are going through. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Please take care of yourself. 🥰
Thank you, Donna! I appreciate your concern, but I know there a lot of people going through situations much worse than mine. I do thank you for your prayers! ❤
I listened to the 1st half this AM. Of course this was right up my alley! Wishing you the best during this prep time. Will continue to pray for you Ray. I am going to Florida on Tuesday until the 20th. My computer will stay home! So peace, love and best wishes to you.
Thank you, Pat ❤
Thank you for your prayers and have fun in Florida!
My prayers your way my friend.
Thank you, Tim. Your prayers are gratefully accepted. ❤
another wonderful medley Ray!!!
Thank you for the update on your health issues ………. like everyone else, I got your back and will be praying for you! Just like you did all those years ago for me with what Dennis and I were going through, you have my never ending support no matter what decisions you make! Will be thinking of you while you go through all your procedures …….. don’t overdo things and listen to your doctors and more importantly, listen to your heart!!
Love and hugs my friend and have a great weekend!
XXOO
Thank you, my dear Penny ❤
You have no idea what you mean to me and your prayers are so appreciated! You have so many other things on your mind, and to think you’re going to carve out time on my behalf is so very kind. ❤ I just want you to know I pray for you on a daily basis and I will continue to do so.
Have a splendiferous week!
XOXO
As you thought really enjoyed this medley
Sending healing energy
BTW my husband lived for over 50 years with only one kidney, born with a congenitally malformed kidney removed in 1945 when he was 5 and think about medicine then and now
Just wanted to be positive…hope I haven’t overstepped
You have options as you know
☮️❤️🌈🍀🎶
Thank you, Mary Helen ❤
You haven’t overstepped at all. I am very grateful for the information. My problem is the fact both kidneys have been in a “failing” state for several years. My surgeon even told me, “I’ll have you signed up for dialysis the next day.” I honestly can’t do that. There is no quality of life for me in that situation.
This surgery obviously is needed to save my life, but I know that even if it is successful, I’m only buying 2-3 years. It is what it is and I’m okay with that. I talk to God a lot and He as assured me I’m in good standing. ❤
Ray what a great lineup and I loved the opening!! That was back in the day when we had great half time shows!! The was a different era!!
Nancy and I are praying for you!! And I agree with your plan of attack!! Anyone who can get frozen to a jungle gym and survive that tells me you will make this!! You will walk right in and sit right down and tell this darn cancer who’s boss!! We won’t go surfin but we can sit on the beach!!
Love ya
Thank you, Fred and Nancy ❤❤
Your sense of humor does wonders for me! I’m sitting here with the biggest smile on my face. 🙂
The idea of sitting on beach with you sounds great! I thank you both for your prayers and support.
Love ya! ❤❤
Another terrific medley, Ray.
Killian and I enjoyed all of these songs. We like the “oldies” just as much as we like the “classic rock”. We will continue to listen to your choices…whatever they might be.
Killian liked “Surfin’ USA” by the Beach Boys the best. I liked “Walk Right In’ and have lots of memories to “The Twist”!
My dad played the harmonica and I love the instrument. John Sebastian certainly plays it well. I had no idea that he was the artist playing it in the Doors’ “Road House Blues”. It’ll make listing to it again that much better.
Thank you, Ray…and you know that Killian & I are praying very hard for you and the people helping you and surrounding you.
My son, Travis, who fought the battle for 3 years after given just 3 months at the age of 17 was the most positive person that I have ever known. And he kept very busy doing all that he loved to do. Killian and I discuss things like this and he has a fairly good outlook on such things. Keep truckin’!!! 💕🙏🙏💕✌️
Thank you, Gentlemen ❤❤
I am still blown away by the video you posted on Facebook. I must have played it a dozen times. Thank you so much!
As always, I am so glad you enjoyed the music. I enjoy hearing which songs you two pick out as your favorites.
You can count on thing. I intend to stay busy until I just can’t do it, and God willing, that won’t happen for a long time.
Love you guys! ❤❤
Praying that you have always done very well on tests. 🙏💖
Thank you, Teresa 💖
I am going into these procedures this week with nothing but optimism. I do sincerely appreciate your prayers. 💖
Checking in. Sending thoughts & prayers. As always, medley selection amazing.💕
Thank you, Peggy ❤
I’m still here 🙂
