The Raspy Voice Medley

Hey, forget my raspy and lousy sounding voice today. It’s the music that counts and the music is great!

We’ve got songs recorded or released on this date. We’ve got the Number One song 50 years ago today, and we have a very cool rock factoid involved in a legendary Beatles song. We’ve got a pair of songs for birthday girl Nancy Garbati. We have a song from The Band, featuring keyboardist Garth Hudson, who died yesterday, and we have a lot of other great songs tucked inside all of them.

I’ll be taking tomorrow off, but I will definitely be back on Friday!

Wickedly wonderful Wednesday indeed! Loved it, and the beginning with The Lovin Spoonful was awesome! Thank you for all of the songs that you played, so easy to identify with, and sing along with. So many all in a short period of time. So when you think that things are longer than they should be, I am sitting here wishing they would not end! Just so appreciative! Good tribute to The Band and sorry it was prompted by the death of the last member of the group. Seems like we’ve lost a lot of people in the last several months, indicative of the fact that we are all getting older. Please take care of that sore throat, which could be an indicator of some flu like thing going on. I know your resistance is low, so you have to stay away from people! It is very cold, and we got snow here last night so it is looking very NEish! See you Friday get some rest! Remember, “you’re the best” 🥰

Thank you, Sandy! I rarely leave the house. I only go out to visit some type of specialist at the hospital. Other than that, I’m either parked in my recliner or sitting in here working on medleys. I get this “voice problem” every few months. Personally I think it has something to do with the eight tumors in my larynx. They tested benign a few years ago, but I still wonder.
I’m glad the length of the medleys don’t seem to concern you and I appreciate your feedback!

Killian and I listened to this on our way to Shriners. We loved it and you know Killian loved hearing his name and sang along to “House of the Rising Sun”.
He laughed out loud to the start of the mix!
We listened to it again on our way home.
Enjoy your day off and we’ll “hear you later”!
