This is a very historic day, musically speaking. Other than the opening song, every single song in this medley is connected to January 20!
We have songs that were recorded on this date or released. We have an amazing assortment of talents who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame on this date. And sadly, we have a couple of music greats who passed on this date.
So yeah, it may be a little long for some, but there was no way I could keep any of these artists out.

A robust 12 degrees at 10:00. Trust me, I’ll be staying indoors!

Good 🌄 morning and thank you Ray! Saturdays ABBA medley was a joy to listen 🎶 to and today’s brought back some old and great memories that just reminded me how fortunate we were to grow up in the best of times! You take care my friend and hoping that all the positive comments that you receive daily are giving you strength and having you realize all the positive vibes you are giving to all of us every morning. Have a great day!!
Thank you. Bruce. ❤ I can assure you all the positive feedback has been very gratifying. I have often felt if what I do makes just ONE person’s day better, then it has all been worth it. It does appear I have accomplished that and then some. Thank you!
Awesome way to start the new week. Thank and have a great day/new week my friend!
Thank you, Nancy ❤ I know this is going to be a good week for you, especially on Wednesday!
Hey Ray
You know I love the backstories and themes
Length is not a problem especially if it allows commentary
Loved the format of this great medley
Thanks, Mary Helen ❤
I do love mixing history and music so I’m always very glad you enjoy it, too!
What a great mix of memories!!!
I don’t know about chewing gum while I’m walking but I can certainly listen to rock while shoveling, while clearing off two vehicles and while snowblowing. I listened to this 3 times while working.
Lengthy Memory Melodies are definitely not a problem for me. I could always turn it off, then listen to the rest another time…and like I said, I listened to this one 3 times and loved it!
The manager at KWK must have felt pretty foolish afterwards. ❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️✌️
Thank you, Jim! ❤
I appreciate you voicing your opinion on the length of these medleys. You’re right, you can always turn it off and finish it later if it’s too long.
Mr. Convey was a short-sighted fool.
Thanks for a great start to the week. Music was awesome! And you have my permission to make these sessions as long as you want. I’ll always enjoy the time listening! Have a fabulous day! Stay warm…its pretty dang cold here in So Oregon, too, at 24 degrees
Thank you, Bonnie! ❤
I appreciate getting your feedback on how long the medleys should be and I am very glad you enjoyed today’s songs!
Stay Warm and Stay Safe!
Great medley again today.
Thank you, Pat ❤
I certainly did appreciate this medley, with all of the rock ‘n’ roll, Hall of Famer’s, and the songs that made them famous. Always have loved Danny and the juniors. And I could tell a story about the four seasons, but this is not about my story. This is about yours, and all of the songs that you have chosen, and coinciding with January 20. I appreciated all of this! Thank you so much. I am finally starting to get back to getting caught up. Ray, you’re the best! 🥰
Thank you, Sandy!❤
I wouldn’t worry too much about getting caught up. These medleys will be as long as I am … and beyond. I have paid to keep my hosting server running long (long) after I’m gone! That was, you can go into the archives and hear the music (and my voice) forever!
I would love to hear your Four Seasons story! ❤
OK, you asked for it! I have a very good friend who lives in California. We have been best friends for 25 years plus! She’s Italian and kind of bossy. For her birthday several years ago, I bought second row seats to see Frankie, Valli and The Four Seasons. It was not the original group, but a traveling group that did all of their work. She did nothing but complain from the time that we park the car and she had to walk so many blocks to get to the center, etc. she was all out of breath and you name it. I’m the one that went and bought the drinks so that she could have some thing came back and shit practically given by see it OK to someone else she was so engrossed in a conversation. Anyway, the show began, and she sang louder than the group right in my ear. Now there is nothing wrong with singing along with something that you know. But I felt like she was just not quite in tune. So I had no choice but to drown her out! I am like roaring with laughter right now just thinking about the whole situation. When the show was over, I ended up having to walk back and get the car myself and bring it around to the front so that she didn’t have to walk. I thought it was an excellent birthday present, and it was certainly not anything cheap. It’s just funny when I think about it after all these years! Promise you won’t tell her. 😂🥰
LOL, it’s our secret! 😂
Thank you for sharing that. Memories, that’s what it’s all about! ❤
