Wickedly Wednesday!!

Okay, okay, I got a little (maybe a lot) carried away and ended up with a 42-minute medley! Sorry about that, I’ll do my best to get back to the 35-minute variety tomorrow.

Many of today’s songs were played because of their historical significance to this date, and so … Yeah, I’m blaming that for the length! 😉

Memories … That’s What We’re All About

Wickedly Wonderful Wednesday!

Tony Joe White – Kingsmen
Grass Roots – Beatles
Sopwith Camel – Don McLean
Petula Clark – Leo Sayer
Harry Nilsson – The Who
George Harrison

I appreciate the kind words about my Petula “factoid”! It’s fun when I can do that.

Hello from Ted & Me. Since it’s my hibernation season have been listening to the medleys later in the morning. Guess I should have written Happy Afternoon as the computer says it’s 12:06pm. Ted is going to W. Rutland to Carris Reels to pick up a coupla’ Carris Trucking Garage sweatshirts (It’s the division he worked in for all those years.) that they ordered for him. Thank you for the music today 🙂

It doesn’t matter when you listen. It only matters that you do listen, and I appreciate it!

Super mix and we didn’t even realize it was long…that’s how good it was.
Killian liked “Polk Salad Annie” and Don McLean’s “American Pie” (I didn’t go into all of the meaning behind it with him – he just likes anything with chevy or chevy truck in it.
I told him about that Marty Morse guy that likes the Beatles. I told him that he lived across the street from me and had a really fast and red Plymouth Roadrunner with a spoiler on the back. (Showed him pictures)
It figures you would play the dirty version of “American Pie” for Fred! LOL I remember riding bikes in the basement of friends of our family and the girl my age asking me if I knew what “Louie Louie” meant. (I’m surprised that her parents let her have that record!) Of course I didn’t know at that age but told her yes instead of being embarrassed.
Killian said that Leo Sayer’s “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” sounded like Disco. I said that he was right.
It’s hard to believe that The Who’s “I Can’t Explain” only maid it to 93. Perhaps because they weren’t well-known yet.
Great ending song! You certainly will see the Lord and I hope that I will also. ❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️✌️

Sometimes you take the little things in life for granted and you don’t appreciate how fortunate we are.
We always ask ourselves “Why Me”, not realizing just how difficult some have really do have it! Ray don’t ever underestimate what you do everyday to help start our day on such a positive vibe! Ray remember the most important thing in life is you and your health!! If you need a day to rest and recuperate, do so my friend. For I hope and wish that I have the privilege to listen to that distinguished radio voice of yours and well put together old time medleys!! You take my friend and may tomorrow bring us all good health and cherished memories!!

Thank you, Bruce, for your extremely kind comments. I will admit there are days when I’m feeling a little “under the weather” but I do my best to persevere. Comments such as yours make me feel so good and they make me realize I don’t have it half as bad as a lot of people. The effort is all worth it.
Make sure you’re listening tomorrow because there’s a “Bruce shout out”! ❤
