The 12 Days: Day 3

It’s Day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas and I’m playing Christmas songs with an attitude!

It’s a mix of rockers and country artists and none of them are keeping it quiet. By the way, if you have scanned the names of the musicians below, don’t be fooled into thinking Gene Autry will be singing one of his signature songs. It is a vintage B-side from 1950, the flip side to Frosty The Snowman.

Ted & I thank you for today’s medley. He will be playing Santa on the 21st for a coupla’ hours at Langway Chevrolet Volkswagen in Manchester, VT where my daughter Roseanne works & granddaughter Ariel will be distributing the candy canes that we got from my oldest granddaughter Kayla (Newport, NH); definitely a family affair. Have a peaceful day Ray 🙂

These Christmas songs definitely have some attitude! A couple of them I don’t recall having ever heard, and I think my very favorite, one of all, believe it, or not, is Willie Nelson and good old jingle bells! He must’ve recorded that as a younger artist with that mellow voice which has changed over the years. I also appreciated big time the Gene Autry song., As it was done, so long ago, and in much more innocent times. It is interesting how music has changed so very much, including holiday songs. This was great. I loved it, and I shall listen to it again. Thanks Ray, you’re the best! CT🎄🎅🏻❤️

      Thank you, Sandy! ❤
I get the impression you are really a Christmas kind of girl! And good for you. ❤
Yeah, Willie didn’t seem to have that “whiskey” voice he developed later in his career. He sounded as clear as a bell.
I am, as always, so glad you’re enjoying these songs.🎅🏻

For Killian it was Chuck Berry and he loves “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, so the Texas Tornados. (He also loves weather and watches anything about tornados.)
For me it’s all about Toby Keith and from my childhood, Gene Autry.
These Christmas songs are so good. Thank you, Ray!
