Let’s try something a little different for “Mellow Sunday”. Instead of playing selections from various artists, I’m going with a 40-minute medley from one of the greatest vocal groups of the 50s and 60s.
The Platters – led by the smooth voice of the incomparable Tony Williams – were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and I’m still wondering why they weren’t included in the original class of 1986.

I just love love love the Platters!! I have a CD that I listen to it every now and then in the car, and I’ve had it for such a long time. I think I know at least 95% of the words to all of these songs. Thanks for this very soothing Sunday medley! You’re the best Ray always giving us a nice surprise that’s unexpected.
