I have a few IOUs to deal with and one very historical event on this date in history before I dive head first into a rock and roll revival!
When I finished listener requests from the 1960s last week, time constraints made it necessary to leave a few out, specifically requests from Mary Helen, Aleeta, and Linda. Today’s medley starts off with all three of their songs.
I should point out a few of the requests not played were skipped for other reasons. They were either from the 1950s or 1970s.
October 28 is a very significant date in Beatles history. I’m not going to explain it here (I do that during the medley), but I will say it most certainly changed the course of rock and roll!
And then it’s a mad dash through some treasured rock and roll classics from the 1950s, culminating with two cherished songs from Jerry Lee Lewis, who died on this date in 2022.

Really loved today’s medley. And I really hate saying this, because I know you do a lot for us. But you missed one of my songs too. It was Glen Campbell’s “Every Day House Wife”. I went back to see if I missed it. I didn’t find it.
You should have looked closer. It was part of the “A Job Well Done” medley on October 21.
I’m so so sorry! 💔 I apologize!
Mistakes will happen, young lady. I wouldn’t worry that much about it. 🙂
Another great medley … you rock my friend!!
XXOO
Thank you, Penny! ❤️
Have yourself a wonderful evening!
XOXO
Great medley, Ray. Just love me some 50’s rock & roll. Memories galore of youth and innocence. Thanks, Ray peace, love and happiness back at you.
Thank you, Pat ❤️
I appreciate the kind words. I really should pay more attention to that era (late 50s, early 60s) than I do. I promise to do better (and thank you for the peace, love and happiness!) 🙂
