All Request Friday!

This is not your normal “Friday rock and roll party.” Because it is an other all request medley, there are fast songs, slow songs, some incredibly sad songs, and a couple of country music songs also on the menu.

The one thing the songs have in common is they all come from the 1960s, and in my opinion, you can’t get much better than that! 🙂

Good Morning Ray, First thing this morning I notice 3 names that I don’t recognize so Ted looked them up before we listened the 2nd time but it started with Penny’s Elvis song. Ted looked it up & we were right it was written by Mac Davis, a favorite singer/songwriter of mine 🙂 Then the pattern was established for a few songs ’til it changed; great arrangement & great choices of songs. Thank you & well done 🙂

      Thanks, Lee & Ted!
Mac was a very accomplished writer but never received enough recognition, in my opinion.
I’m very glad you both enjoyed the flow! ❤️❤️

Hello, I can’t even begin to say what kind of week it’s been. But Patches broke the damn. I was singing along through the tears. My best friend’s dad, was a pillar of the community of Springfield. He will be missed! I’ve had a few more bad things happen this week. Thank god, this week is over.

Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your week. When grief overtakes you, it is vitally important to remember God is the only real solution. Turn to him in prayer and he will respond, to your heart and to your soul. ❤️

Thank you, Mary Helen, for that great finish!
By the way, there is no dying allowed without my permission.
And YOU don’t have permission! ❤️

We have enjoyed the request medleys very much. Listened to Thursday’s and this morning’s back to back as we returned things in the house to their usual positions. Your listeners gave you a lot to work with and you skillfully wove the requests into a “daily treat” that lasted all week. Thank you for all you do to remind us of something very positive in our lives, the music we have grown up with. Enjoy your weekend Ray.

Thank you, Marty & Karen. I still have requests that need to be played (and will be on Monday).I am so glad the music has helped you in a small way to try nd bounce back from the trauma you had to deal with. I guess the saying is true. Music IS the universal healing force. ❤️❤️

Finally got to enjoy this one! I never heard Elvis’ song before. He definitely knew how to touch our hearts. Patches wS also a favorite of mine. And then Red Rowboat.. riding in the car with my Mom, both singing with the chorus. What a delight. Thank you my friend for making the music magic happen! How about. Rain, Rain Go Away?
