Yeah, it’s Friday and that means it’s time for a rock and roll party, right?
Well, there certainly are rock and roll songs in this medley, but not all of them fit that description. There’s a soft love song or two, a country music song, and a great opener by the man who epitomized the word party, so what we’re calling this is a party … just a Friday party, with a couple of dedications thrown in for good measure. 🙂
Yeah, yeah, I know it’s a little longer than the preferred 35 minutes, but what can I say. Too much music is never a bad thing! ❤
There’s also a request for help as I’m asking you to send me ONE, just ONE song from the Sixties that you love. Just ONE. You can do it by leaving a comment here or on the Memory Medleys Facebook page. Thank you!

Good Morning Ray, As always a great medley. Ted & I have decided that our one song will be “I’m Into Something Good” by Hermit’s Hermits as we have heard Peter Noone sing it. Thanks for a great morning of music. Have a good day 🙂 Lee & Ted
Thank you, Lee & Ted. I appreciate the request. It was a good choice! I’m glad you enjoyed the music and I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂 🙂
The “bookends” on this one were perfect for the last day at the beach for us…with some really great memories in between!
60’s Request — how about “Turn! Turn! Turn!” by The Byrds?
Thank you, Ray, for adding to our first real vacation in many years!
Thank you, Jim! I am so glad you have enjoyed your getaway!
Thank you for a wonderful request!

Well La Di Da that was a party from start to finish! A Friday delight
Don’t know if it qualifies for the 60s, but I loved Get Together by the Youngbloods
Thank you, Mary Helen.
It does and it will be played!
Happy Friday Ray, welcome back my friend – you were missed! I have not posted a comment lately so I will indulge in doing so today. First, I would like to again say thanks for your time and effort in your daily Oldies Medleys. It makes my morning coffee more enjoyable!
Ray, we grew up in the best of times – you were able to understand the words and the artists told a story in their songs. The oldies bring back so many fond memories of the Saturday night St. Mary dances in Claremont, NH at the old St. Mary Gym and before that the Wednesday evening Beach Party Dances at Kennedys Pond in Windsor Vermont. Boy, am I ever old! Back in our day growing up – words integrity, character, honesty, accountability, real friendships and most important of all respect were prevalent in our upbringing than it is now in today’s society…very sad! Now, however did I ever go off tangent and get here? I guess I can just blame it on getting old – sorry Ray. Now that I have vented, I can go back to where I should be The Mamas & Papas ” California Dreamin” Ray, you and your wife have a great day and enjoy your weekend!!
Bruce, I don’t mind when people vent here, and I certainly don’t mind when they do so in such an eloquent manner as you did. Well done and spot on!
Your request is noted, sir. Have a wonderful weekend!
Waterloo Sunset – The Kinks
