Look! Up In The Sky!

This one, I think, has it all. A song about a glorious morning, another about a very special Moon, a very expensive concert fee, a song for Killian, and a whole bunch of famous (and fantastic) B-Sides!

So come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say…

It’s a beautiful morning, and I’m still in love with you, Armes, harvest moon! Two songs that I just love. This was such an interesting medley, and I love that you threw in all these B sides. I also loved the dedication that you did for Killian, and his grandpa, Jim. It is one of my favorites to the house of the rising sun is a great song to play in your car at full blast. The melody part of it comes across so beautifully. Gives you the shivers. Thank you for this one, as always, you’re the best! 🥰

Thank you, Sandy. I was very happy to do that for Killian. He is such an adorable young man! That Animals song has such an amazing story. They only had 15 minutes left in the recording studio and when asked, the producer wasn’t all that interested in doing it but told the to give it a go. They recorded the song in ONE take. No overdubs, just ONE take. It seems the Animals were and YOU are the best! 🥰

Hi Ray, Today is a beautiful day & so was your medley. I saw the moon, stars & sun rise. Ted & I listened to the music together before he left to transport his daughter to an appointment. His son is in VT for work this week. I read that tomorrow we’re supposed to a record breaking day so stay cool, like the cool guy you are. Have a good day & thanks for the music 🙂

      Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
I’m not surprised you enjoyed Mr. Young’s song. Not surprised you enjoyed Johnny’s song either, but a little surprised you enjoyed Carl’s song. I never pictured you as a rockabilly lover. I think that’s great!

I think the Mathis song is what I call a “chick” song. All women seem to love it.
      Have a great day!

I can’t thank you enough. I played it for Killian while he was still lying in bed. It was still a little dark in his room, but the glow and smile he had made it very bright. We sang along with the song and he said he’s going to play it a million times!
I sent the link to his parents.
He just had to thank you and wanted to do it out in the sunshine, so we went outside to record it.

This medley along with many of your others will make our vacation just that much better!

Jim, I am going to admit something to you (and anyone else who reads these comments). When I saw Killian’s thank you, I was quite emotional. It was such a beautiful gesture on his part. He is a lovely young man. ❤️
      Enjoy your vacation!

We have certainly had some beautiful mornings (and days) lately. I think everyone should be able to hear that “She’s Not You” is the better song! LOL And no one can beat Johnny Mathis singing a love song. Great medley, thanks, Ray.

      Thanks, Pat!
In the matter of “She’s Not You” vs. “Tell Her Jim Said Hello,” there is no question YOUR song is better! 🙂
