More Music Memories!

I honestly had no idea what I was going to play today when I sat down and stared into my microphone. But as I looked at my list of songs, it hit me, and in the end, I came up with four dedications, a hit song about baseball, the first single from a band who premiered their television show 58 years ago today, a big hit from an iconic duo, a one-hit wonder, a chart-topping hit from a group that had many of them … and finally, two songs from a legend who passed away on this date in 2003.

I guess it turned out okay.

Good throwback Thursday! So great to hear the John Fogerty song, and always have loved the Association every song they’ve ever done! And an exceptional, Patsy Cline hit, one that made her famous! Let it be, love those Beatles! And as much as I love Johnny Cash, and have quite a few of his songs, I am completely spaced out on the last song I don’t remember ever hearing it. So thanks for that. I promise, I’ll be ready for rock ‘n’ roll Friday! You’re the best! 🥰

Sandy, thank you for your generous comments! I’m so glad I gave you a new Johnny Cash song to remember. Always remember, you’re the best! 🥰

Hadn’t heard “Put Me In Coach” in a long time, great song. I agree with Donna, “I Fall To Pieces” is another great song. All great today!!

Thank you, Pat. I just KNEW you would be happy with a Patsy song, too!

  4. Jim

Thank you for thinking of me and taking me for a walk through the Garden of Eden and some very fond memories.

I listened and liked the song, “Shannon”, unaware of who the artist was. Now I know, thanks to you…Henry Gross.

“Hurt” is one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs!

Jim, I’m glad you enjoyed the Butterfly Experience! 🙂 I’m also glad I could get you up to speed about Henry. How could anyone not love Johnny’s last hit? So, so moving.

Another nice mix, lovved the Monkees, Everly Brothers and Beatles. Wish my song from 2017 was an old Melody, but all the locals muscians play it for me. Its Perfect by Ed Sheeren. Have a great day friend!

Thanks, Nancy. Yeah, I’m afraid 201 doesn’t quite qualify as an oldies, but you MUST have a song from the 60s that you loved, right?

Well Coach for not knowing what to play you hit a home run in center field
Again you introduced me to a new tune Johnny Cash’s last
You started my day with happy

Thank you, Mary Helen. I am pleasantly surprised because I really didn’t know what to play when I started! Johnny was nearing the end when he recorded ‘Hurt’, a cover of a Nine Inch Nails song.

  7. Rose

I do LOVE Mathis and hearing him soon would be divine ~ sigh ~

Thank you, Rose. I can’t seem to find a spot in tomorrow’s rock and roll party, but I’m sure I can fit him in sometime next week. 🙂

  8. Donna Tillson-Bass
