I won’t proclaim this to be a rock and roll party because there are several songs that aren’t even close to rock, but I will say this. The medley is long, and I mean looooong, as in over one hour.
If that’s too long for you to listen to in one day, you have the whole weekend to hear it. And hear it you should because it is good. Well, that’s my opinion but I might be a little biased.
By the way, why are there three Beatle songs included? Good question and here’s a good answer. There are all there for very legitimate reasons and if you listen, you’ll hear what those reasons are. 🙂

Good Morning Ray, Ted & I tuned in earlier than yesterday & definitely enjoyed your Friday medley. We got a bit of a surprise as how the circles of life intertwine when we heard your dedication to Mary Helen & her brother Charlie of 8084. Altho it has nothing to do with music the drummer of 8084 (Gary Spaulding) married Barbie (one of my extra kids) in 2013. She & my daughter Roseanne’s birthdays are 2 days apart & they started birthday months & Barbie was Godmother to my oldest grandson so Barbie & Gary are part of our extended family. Ted has been researching the band this morning. Thank you for the music & have a good weekend. 🙂 Lee & Ted
Thank you, Lee & Ted. I am very pleased to know my honoring Charlie brought up such special memories for you. His band was extraordinary … and so are the two of you! 🙂 🙂
This was a great Friday Marathon Medley Ray…However it was a bit too long! HA HA-Just kidding Ray! 🤣 When I jump(or should I say, slowing roll) out of bed in the morning 🌄 I have my coffee/10 minutes and that normally leaves me 30 minutes for my workout, but this morning I had almost an hour…what are you trying to do to me/kill me!?! Great wat to start my day Ray, THANKS and have a wonderful weekend 😀!!!!!
Bruce, I admit I got a little carried away with the music, but in trying to highlight the wonderful contributions Nicky Hopkins made in so many songs (none of them short), the time got away from me.
I don’t want to kill you, so I promise to watch the clock a little more carefully! 🤣
Have a wonderful weekend!
Who could ever feel blue, with a groovy, kind of love? Wow!! What a great song to start the medley. I called us a mega medley, and I can tell you that I didn’t miss one second not even a nanosecond. I just loved all of it and I especially appreciate the shout out for my beach boys. Just hearing some of these songs from Yesteryear, brings back so many memories. And I asked myself, where were you when this song was such a hit? Like I remember the Peter Paul and Mary song, and it just is like on a nonstop over and over in my head. I also like the fact that just listening to one instrument, can change how you hear the song. This was great, and I shall listen to it again over the weekend. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend, with a chance for some relaxation and rest. But always remember, “you’re the best!“ 🥰
Thank you, Sandy! I have decided there is no such thing as the Beach Boys without you! Every single time I come across that band’s name in my personal database of music, I automatically think of you!
I hope you have a Fun, Fun, Fun weekend!
YOU are the best! 🥰
What an awesome way to end the week. Loved them all, as did Jojo. Have a wonderful restful weekend my friend. <3
Nancy, please give Jojo a kiss from me. I will be thinking of ways I can make her dance next week! ❤
Enjoyed your highlighting keyboard artists and the kind words and tribute to Charlie
Because of your info on session musicians and production and other backstories, I hear music differently
A music experience
I am very flattered, Mary Helen. Music is my joy and if anything I bring to the table enhances your experience, I am grateful.
Mary Helen said it perfectly. You have definitely added many layers to my music appreciation!
These are great songs. I have played this through 3 times already…and I’m still not tired of it.
Nice work, Ray.
Thank you, Jim. I sincerely appreciate your kind words. I have always felt too many great musicians were ignored by the general public for too long. I am happy to shed some light on them.
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed today’s medley. A bit too long, but I just couldn’t stop!
By the way, I have known Mary Helen since first grade, and I have found that she almost always says things perfectly. 🙂
