Labor Day Medley

It’s Labor Day and one of the few people working is me. You don’t need the typical “wake up and get moving” Monday blast from the past. What you need (and deserve) today is something on the mellow and relaxing side.

That is exactly what you’re going to get. An end of summer mellow fest (with a birthday dedication included) to help you decompress for a day. Wrap your ears around this one!

The usual stuff returns tomorrow. 🙂

Well, this certainly did just hit the spot! Some of the most beautiful ballads and love songs that we’ve ever heard, and reminded of again today. I just can’t even begin to say something about each artist, but their music certainly did touch a spot in my heart. Who doesn’t love Nat, King Cole, and Barbra Streisand? Could listen to them all day. Love Jim Croce, and the ending note from Toby Keith. Gone too soon, and certainly am glad that I got to see him in concert. Live in California. He put on quite a show! But I think my favorite on here of all time is Don Williams, and I believe in love, and mom and dad and babies and music! Leaves us with a lot to think about, and Ray, “you’re the best” 🥰

Thank you, Sandy. Some days are better if I just let the temperature simmer on low and let the music calm us all down. Today felt like it was one of those days.

What a lovely way to celebrate Labor Day!
A few songs I was not really familiar with, but that’s the beauty of your medleys, always introducing me to new music!
    Have a pleasant day

I labored this morning and early afternoon, so listened to some of your upbeat Friday archives. There are a lot and they’re very good.

Now that I’m going to relax and barbecue, I will listen to this one.

Thanks for the music and memories that the music digs from my brain.

You’re right about each song being carefully chosen. If you’re going to create a medley for a birthday girl, you have to be very selective. Not just any songs will do. I am so, so pleased you enjoyed it. ❤️
