This is a very special day. Two great songs were released, there is a wedding anniversary, and a songwriter who got jerked around by the Hall of Fame gets her moment in the sun here (and I only scratched the surface).
If you’re in the mood for timeless memories, you’ve come to the right place!

Ellie was an unbelievable song writer and I was glad the Rock And Roll Hall Of Shame finally recognized her!! I agree with you they could have honored her while she was alive!! What a great tribute Ray!!
Loved this all these songs bring back so many memories!!
Love ya
Thanks, Fred! Ellie’s songs bring back so many memories! Yeah, the Hall cold have done the right thing by honoring her before her death, but that’s not their style. I am so glad you enjoyed her timeless songs!
Love ya
Another great medley … I agree with you and Fred … she should have been inducted many years ago, long before her death 🙁
It’s amazing that most of us don’t think about “who” wrote the songs we know and love …………. thanks for paying tribute to Ellie, so well deserved.
Have a wonderful day!
XXOO
Thank you, Penny! I am glad I could bring so many up to speed on Ellie’s contributions to our collective life soundtracks. She was amazing!
Have a sensational day!
XOXO
Loved the tribute to ELLIE! She has such a songwriting talent, and I’m sure you could come up with many more of her hits. I really did love the Vince Gill song for Rudy and Linda. That was awesome! And of course your favorite song “Be my Baby” I have always loved and had no idea it was your favorite. We music lovers are all alike! This was great I will definitely listen to it again! Thank you for a very entertaining 30 some minutes. And remember “you’re the best” 🥰
Thank you, Sandy! I could have added a lot more of her songs but the medley would have lasted forever!
If I was stranded on a desert island and could have just five songs to play, “Be My Baby” would definitely be among the five.
I am so very happy you enjoyed it!
Good Mid-Morning Ray, Ted has gone to Rutland to buy brake shoes, pads & springs for the rear his truck ’cause he broke it yesterday (his description). Do you think the 25 cement blocks we put in the back could have been a contributing factor? Better now than later to replace them. I decided to listen to the music while he was gone. I will not mind listening to it again when he has time. Great songs/music; I was singing along & enjoying it all. Thanks for your tribute to a great songwriter. Enjoy your day? Lee
Thank you, Lee. If you were singing along to the music, than the medley was a success!
Have a wonderful day!
What a great medley
Never heard of Ellie, but boy did she write some good ones, even the Beach Boys!
Your shared musical knowledge delights me
I’m looking up her bio…want to know more
Thank you, Mary Helen. Ellie has always been an unsung hero in my eyes. Songs she co-wrote with Phil Spector fund here buried in the footnotes while Spector got all the glory.
Great combination and way to start a new week. Thanks my friend, hope you have a wonderful day and new week.
Thank you, Nancy! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Have a wonderful day!
Me too! Ellie was great, as well as this mix of great songs.
Thank you,Ray!
Thank you, Jim! I appreciate that!
We really appreciate your fulfilling my request for our 61st anniversary song. We really are a hit here on the beach playing music for all to hear.Great songs.
Thank you, Linda! I’m glad you two (and everyone else) enjoyed it!
Wow! Just got to listen to the whole collection. What a prolific writer of such wonderful songs! Thank you Ray for putting this together. Absolutely brightened my mood and made my day, now on to today’s selections. You are the music man! ❤️
Thank you, Bonnie! She was such a talented woman. I can’t believe the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame waited until she had passed! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
What a fabulous tribute! Your extensive knowledge never ceases to amaze me! I apologize for being ai day late! I usually have one or two favorites from each medley, I have two today. The last song and the Vince Gill song! As always thank you for all that you do!
Thank you, Donna! Never apologize for being late. Life happens 🙂
