Another great medley .. loved them all!! I will say that I don’t think Eddie Rabbitt was recognized as he should have, not only was he a great singer but he wrote a lot of songs for other artists as well!!

    Have a wonderful day!

    XXOO

Thanks, Penny, you’re absolutely right about Eddie. Very talented singer/songwriter who left us far too soon.
      Have a super duper day!
      XOXO

Wonderful medley. I loved listening to all of these artists…and you ended it with the song I used to belt out loudly over and over.

And now Killian asks me to play it and he sings along with me.

Not enough time to tell you all of the memories “House of the Rising Sun” brings me…

I think it is awesome that Killian and you sing that song together! our comment made my day!

Another beautiful medley! Great back stories, and some of my favorite artists. I mean who couldn’t love the beach boys! And I do love Chuck Barry. I loved hearing the fifth dimension. Seems like we just don’t hear enough of their music. I think they had some unique and great sounds. Blue Skies by Willie Nelson I used to play in the car all the time. And speaking of turning up your speakers in the car – – – the animals, with House of the rising Sun!! Oh my gosh did I ever love that still do still love to turn it up. When it came on this morning, I cranked it up a little bit. Hoping I wouldn’t be able to pass the music onto my neighbors next-door. It’s a beautiful morning here, and it just became more beautiful with all of these great songs. You did it again Ray! I’m going to the doctor in a little while and have my Port-A-Cath taken out. The final signal that I’m cancer free. So I’m kind of on a natural high today. Always remember that you’re the best! 🥰

I’m going to skip right over all the wonderful things you said and get right to the point…
I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF YOU FOR KICKING CANCER’S ASS!

Or…should I call you Bob? LOL

That would be Mr. Ross to you 😉

  5. Mary Helen Hawthorne

Well I sure loved this one, especially the back stories!
Here There and Everywhere a fave and great backstory those Beach Boys had such influence
I’m not a musical authority, but while there were many identical riffs I wouldn’t say the BBoys ripped off Berry

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thanks, Mary Helen. Inspired by Berry’s rapid-fire references to various American cities in Sweet Little Sixteen, Brian Wilson recast the song as a tribute to a fun-in-the-sun sport. And he did with the exact same chord progressions.

Afternoon Ray, Ted & enjoyed the music medley but it got busy & I just sat down at the computer again. Definitely needed some good music to start the day. Sorry it took me so long to thank you. Enjoy your day 🙂

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thank you, Lee & Ted. No worries about not responding sooner. I’m just glad you enjoyed it!

  8. Fred

Ray thank you this was perfect for my rehab!! I made it all the way through and did more walking then I have so far!! And may I join in with your comment to Sandy! Excuse the language but she kicked cancers ass and you don’t mess with that girl!! Getting back to the songs of today I loved them and I think I am not the only one who likes the back stories!! It is so nice to get the real scoop!! I was just thinking I would not mind a little more of The Beach Boys they felt good to me today!! As always you are #one in this business!!
Love ya and may God Bless and prayers on the way!!

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thanks, Fred! I’m of the opinion that no one messes with YOU! Every single time you get knocked down, you pick yourself up and fight back. You truly are inspirational!
If more Beach Boys is what you want, more Beach Boys is what you will get!
      Love ya!

  9. Pat Conant

    Great medley. great memories!

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thank you, Pat, I always enjoy playing songs that bring back nice memories for you!

  10. Donna Tillson-Bass

Absolutely fabulous! I truly enjoy the back stories. And I agree with Fred, more Beach Boys would be awesome! I will probably be hated for this next statement. I have always preferred the Beach Boys over the Beatles. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy listening to the Beatles. Thank you, for all that you do!

    1. Ray (Post author)

You would pick the Beach Boys over the Beatles? That is heresy! Nah, just kidding. I’m sure there are many who feel the same way you do. Thank you for your very kind words!
