Oh boy, sending me right back on the street corner. It’s a shame that so many of these songs/proformances are all but forgotten. They bring back so many memories of not only the corner but the many record hops that figured so prominently in my youth. It makes me sad that today’s youth will never know the simple fun and joy of making your own music. The machine age has taken over and steamrolled the simple yet so fulfilling life we had. Thanks Ray for keeping the flame burning.

Thank you, Don. The days of Street Corner Serenades are long gone and hard to find. Sad really, but we do our best to keep the memories alive.

Good Morning Ray, Ted & I enjoyed your mellow music medley of doo-wop this morning. Seemed to be the perfect start today as the roofer will be starting the actual work “up on the roof.” I do believe that song may not fit the category but would work with the era. Thank you, have a good day whatever you do 🙂

      Thank you, Lee & Ted!
Up On The Roof will most certainly work!

So very enjoyable, Ray! Sure wish radio would go back and really play the oldies. The best music eras ever! Song to sing, dance, snap your fingers and tap your toes to. Have an awesome day, my friend! ❤️

I remember my parents listening to these. That’s probably why I like listening to them so much now. Thank you for bringing out those memories of my parents for me!

Thank you, Jim. It’s all about the memories. Sometimes it’s about special times in our lives, and other times it’s about the special people who made our youth what it was.
