Looking Back At 1967

I couldn’t stop. I got carried away with the music of 1967 and just couldn’t stop!

That’s why this medley contains 14 songs and lasts over 42 minutes. It isn’t one of those medleys that will have you saying “I don’t remember this song” (at least it shouldn’t). All but two songs reached the Top 10 back in 1967. Of the other two, one peaked at #15 and the other is an iconic album cut.

You out did yourself with this one Ray. The name Arthur Conley gave me pause but the minute I heard the first few notes the song became very recognizable. So many great songs and artists. We were spoiled with the music of those times. You keep them alive for all of us!

Thank you, Marty. I had a lot of fun with this one. Conley may have been a one-hit wonder but that song is unforgettable!
We were definitely spoiled. What a glorious time it was!

Good Day Ray, I find it hard to believe that I was buying records at Britts the day you opened the box Of Sgt. Pepper albums & sold the 1st one to me (still have). Double thanks for the music then & now. Told Ted it was going to be a good medley today. He agrees. 🙂

      Thanks Lee & Ted.
That album must be a little worn by now (but the music on it is still wonderful).
Thanks for another nice memory! 🙂

Ray, It is worn, I admit but still plays well & you can still make out people on the cover. I remember you looking at it & telling me “you have to buy this” so I added it with my Gary Lewis album (still have that one to) 🙂

Roof tiles are here, should see if my help is needed.

You could not possibly have bought two albums that differed so much! But I will admit I also owned a Gary Lewis album (but it is long gone).
Rock The Day … and those tiles. 🙂

    1967 was a good year ….

Wish I had purchased that Sgt Pepper album from you that day at Britts. I couldn’t get out of the kitchen because I was busy cleaning the grill!! LOL

    1. Ray (Post author)

You always did such a good job with that grill. 😉

  5. Nancy Garbati

Loved them all and the other two should have been in the top 10 for sure. Great medley, thanks and have a great day!
