A Taste of Country

Last week, I asked on this site’s Facebook page if listeners had a problem with me switching these medleys to country music instead of oldies. Some said they loved the idea and others didn’t like it at all.

The majority went a different route. They suggested mixing the two. You’ll get country music today and since you got a whole lot of country yesterday with the Toby Keith tribute, it will be oldies on Thursday and Friday.

What about tomorrow? That is going to be something very, very special!

Ray going country is such a great move!! I remember getting to ask to play in a country band and I didn’t think I could play good enough!! The musician’s are some of the best ever!! I love the stories they tell!! The slide guitar has such a powerful sound!! And the voices are incredible I love the deep voices to go from bass to a jump up an octave!! Country is a mix of all styles of music!! Thank you for this wonderful change and I will be happy however you mix it in!! Love to all us Streamingoldies!!
    Love ya!!

Country music can be incredibly happy stuff but it can also tear your heart out! You’re 100% correct about the skills the guitarists put on display. I’m very glad you enjoyed it!
      Love ya

As a quasi country fan, must admit I didn’t know the selections by Brett Eldridge, Thompson Square or Justin Moore, but did enjoy them.
Country is such an emotional genre, always tweaking the heartstrings

      Thanks, Mary Helen.
There are many of the classic country music oldies on the horizon, but I decided not to blend in any of the great “sad” songs today.

Of course, I loved these, Ray. I haven’t heard much Dwight Yokum, lately. If only heaven wasn’t so far away…
