Your Requests, Part Four!

We’re celebrating Hump Day with more of your requested artists. One constant so far are the comments telling me the people who requested these artists have great taste in music. I couldn’t agree more.

This one has a few backstories and every song was a certified hit!

Thanks, Nancy. The listeners make my job easy. I don’t have to think about what I should play! 😉

I was shocked at first that “Proud Mary” didn’t make number 1, but then remembered that there was an awful lot of competition back in 1969.

Also, surprised that the Belmonts didn’t get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Perhaps the people in great power felt that Dion did all of the work. Sad…they were a very good doo-wop group.

Great music medley and the release dates help a lot with my memories! Thanks, again, Ray!

Thank you, Jim. Yes, CCR had some tough luck on the charts. Not that there’s anything wrong with having a #2 hit, but five times in a row?
I am so glad the music brings back wonderful memories for you!

  6. Pat Conant

Who woulda thought that asking for favorite artists would conjure up all these great medleys? You are the best, Ray.

Thank you, Pat! Just wait until tomorrow! 🙂

Another great medley!!! I think it is sad that so many deserving people/groups have not made it into the hall of fame … same goes for country music as well!! I have never figured out how the powers that be make their determinations but ……………..
Have a wonderful day my friend!

Thanks, Penny! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been, in my opinion, a joke for a long, long time.
      Have a wonderful evening! 🙂
      XOXO
