Sixties Revolution!

It’s Thursday so that means digging deep into the archives and bringing out another Sixties Revolution program from 2011.

This week it’s all about the Folk-Rock explosion of 1965; the very good, the not too bad, and in one case, the very ugly! You can thank Jan Berry for the latter.

What a great History Lesson!! Dylan will never be replaced!! I always liked the Byrds I think they sang on the Ed Sullivan show!! Can’t get anymore American then that!! Funny when I woke up this morning you were on my mind!! No more worries or troubles for me!! Sometimes just a name change can do it!! The Beatles changed everything!! Great day Ray stay warm!!

You are spot on about Dylan. Never will be replaced. I was a big Byrds fan, too!
It’s funny but there are certain times when I select a song to play, I do it with YOU on my mind!
      Love ya

Good Day Ray, Recognized songs but don’t remember folk rock being coined in ’65 but was going to school, working at the library & watching my 3 brothers while my Mom worked. Listened later & alone so thank you for the medley 🙂 Lee

Ok, Jojo wasn’t sure about how to dance to some of these, but I can tell that you made my day. I loved almost everyone of these songs. So thanks so much. I’m marking this one so I can play it when ever I want. <3

I loved this music history lesson. The memories are very strong of those times. Now I know the story behind those changes in music. Very interesting.

A very big change in music and a good one…not sure about the recent changes.

Feeling much better today after recovering from sinus surgery. Music certainly helps sinus pain.

    Thank you, Ray!

      Thank you, Jim! 🥰
I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. I had sinus surgery many years ago, somewhere around 1977. I sure hope yours was a little more advanced than mine.
I’m happy you enjoyed the Revolution!
