The goal every Friday is to send you into the weekend on a high note, and this week is no different.
This medley is what we like to call wake up music. Now I could ramble on about certain artists or particular highlights, but why bother when the artists and the music will do all the speaking you need?
Just hit play and enjoy the memories! π

I am very happy to know the music got your day started out on the right “note” π
Have a wonderful weekend!
Great medley and great way to get blood flowing before the arctic crap hits.
Have a SAFE and WARM weekend my friend!
Thanks, Penny π₯°
It’s going to be a tough weekend everywhere.
Stay SAFE and WARM, young lady!
XOXO
We have enjoyed this weekβs formatting. Great mix of music and commentary from you. You have spoiled us in the past and that has continued this week. Have a good weekend and thanks again for doing what you do so well Ray!
Marty & Karen, your constant support is so very gratifying. Thank YOU for making all the work worthwhile with your wonderful comments! π₯°π₯°
Thanks for the medley
Very enjoyable, but not that loud, but maybe for the time…guess heavy metal is my definition of loud π
Thanks, Mary Helen π₯°
You nailed the “problem” with the “loud” part. There really weren’t any artists that fit the heavy metal role in the 60s or early 70s; at least not the types that fit the music I usually play. I could have played music from established 70s artists like KISS, Scorpions, Rush, Judas Priest, Motorhead, or Black Sabbath, but this site (right or wrong) sticks to primarily Top 40 artists. In addition, if I had played music by the artists above, I would have inevitably seen comments that said, “I don’t remember those songs” and since the site is dedicated to playing memories that the majority of listeners will recall, I did the best I could to accommodate Jim’s request.
Was only remarking that loud now and then is different. I liked the medley and found it very peppy
And I was only agreeing with your assessment.
I was wondering when it might get loud. Then, “Footstompin’ Music by the Funk came along, Steppenwolf’s “Sookie Sookie”, and BS&W’s “Lucretia Mac Evil”!
Loved all three of them along with all of the rest.
Glad everyone was awake in the house and are used to hearing me play loud music. Also, glad that most of my work is at home and that the windows are closed!
Thanks for thinking of me. You’re “simply the best”!
Thanks, Jim π₯°
I’m glad you enjoyed it and I have to say your last sentence reminds me of something Sandy always said!
As always, Jojo and I really enjoy your medley. Thanks so much and take care and have a wonderful weekend. We got a late start to our day today.
Thanks, Nancy & Jojo! π₯°π₯°
I’m glad you enjoyed the music and I really hope you have a wonderful weekend!
This was kinda out of my “wheelhouse”, but on the other hand, I could listen to Bob Seger all day, and BS&T and the Vogues are pretty darn good also.
Thanks, Pat π₯°
At least I got three of them in there for you! π
This is how I am spending my Friday night, listening to some of my favorite tunes from way back when ~ Friday nights back then were a bit different …. not at all like “Ole Rosie” and not like “Heather Honey” but something in between π but there was ALWAYS the music and some dancing.
Thanks for letting me spend my Friday night with all of YOU!
Thank you, Rose, for spending your Friday night with me! π₯°
I’m so glad the music brought back such wonderful memories!
