It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another all female medley!
A few of these singers may have been one-hit wonders, but those songs had an impact so they’re included here. The other artists had long and successful careers, and for some, that continues today
As I have said for the past two weeks, there are still plenty of female singers I haven’t included yet so that means there will definitely be a Part 4 coming soon!

Eartha Kitt – Brenda Lee
Good Morning Ray, LOL, Ted had just been telling me that Brenda Lee & RAtCT, after 65 yrs., hit #1 on the hot billboard chart’s 100 songs at age 78 (years). The oldest person to do so & she never made #1 ’til now. We’re sure her new video helped 🙂 Great medley, was definitely singing along some. I think you should include Cher some time, she’s been doing music for almost 7 decades now. That reminds me; I should see if I can find the video Ted did of us to “I got you Babe” & post it on his birthday. Again thanks for playing the ladies. 🙂 Lee & Ted
Thanks, Lee & Ted 🥰🥰
I saw the news about Brenda Lee. I guess it shows you should never give up hope!
Cher is on my list of female artists still to come!
Very glad you enjoyed the medley!
I don’t think you’ll be singing in the sunshine up there brrr cold!! The only person I can think of that would sing about skates would be Skeeter Davis!! Have you been told it’s in your kids?? I t worked for me 34 years later!! Still working!! True country was done best by Jeannie C Riley she also sang Gospel!! Santa Baby was in hurry to get down to see Eartha!! So let’s have a happy holiday!! Ending with the two Christmas songs is perfect!! Stay warm and be happy!!
Love ya
Thanks, Fred 🥰
It’s sunny up here but only 29 at Noon. I guess that rules out sitting on the deck.
I’m glad the music is working for you!
Love ya
Great choice of songs today. It has been some time since I’d heard a few of these. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one!
As always, Thanks so much Ray, for all you do 🙂
Thank YOU, Eileen 🥰
I’m glad a few of those tunes came back to life for you.
Loved every minute of this one, especially Muldaur, Everett, Laurel
Saw on the news that Rockin Around the Christmas Tree is #1 on the Billboard charts due to play on YouTube And Tik Tok, something that didn’t happen when released
Santa Baby thanks for the holiday tunes too, so far have enjoyed them all
Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
I saw the news on Brenda Lee. That is amazing!
I’m very happy you enjoyed the music … even Christmas songs!
What a great medley!! Not sure what draws me to “We’ll sing in the sunshine” but I love that song .. all the others are great as well.
Great finish with the Christmas songs … rockin around the Christmas Tree .. LOL
I have always said music is good for the soul and your medleys are helping me deal with a rough time.
Take care my friend
XXOO
Thank you, Penny 🥰
I do hope the music takes you to a different place so that at least for a few moments you can feel a little better.
XOXO
Late today, as I closed on my Condo in Fort Lauderdale this morning. (yeah, now I can pay this one off). Enjoyed all the ladies and of course the xmas tunes. Thanks and have a great day!
Thanks, Nancy! 🥰
Congrats on the Fort Lauderdale closing!
I’m very glad you enjoyed the music!
So very delighted to hear these songs again. These were definitely some of my favorites!
Thank you, Jim 🥰
I’m glad you enjoyed the songs.
Let me address the Buffy situation. Right now I still have over 20 female artists to squeeze in and next Tuesday is going to be the final “regular” medley of oldies before I start the “12 days of Christmas Medleys” on the 13th. I might as well get this out there right now. I’m not 100% sure but I am strongly considering retiring on December 27th. I have been doing this for 18 years and to be honest, I am very, very tired.
I understand. I’m a forester that tried to retire 5 years ago, but got caught up in helping loggers that did most of the work for me.
Still doing it, but on a much less time consuming demand. I only discovered your work a few years ago. I can’t tell you how much it helps me. Would you consider a once per week, longer program?
Here’s the primary problem, Jim. I don’t have anyone helping me. It’s one of the reasons the history columns will be definitely be ending on December 10. They take forever to research and yeah, I could leave things out but that’s not who I am. Throw in the fact that my car accident has left me a one-handed typist and it’s just too much.
As for a once a week medley, I believe if people want music in their lives, they will find another source and they won’t need to bother with “once a week, Ray.” Besides, there are literally thousands of medleys in the archives. That is where people should be turning. 🙂
Still waiting for a song by Buffy Sainte-Marie. How about “Universal Soldier” or “Until it’s Time for You to Go” or “Cod’ine”? A little different than what you usually play I think, but I listened to her and her messages.
These were all great, a lot I haven’t heard in a long time. Sing in the sunshine is a favorite, such a feel good song.
Thank you, Pat 🥰
I know how much you enjoy Gale Garnett’s song. L)
Loved, loved, loved these melodies and memories!!
Thank you, Terry! 🥰
