Another Monday Medley!

Something a little different today. With the exception of the final two songs (which are both Christmas songs), all of the music is directly related to December 4. It didn’t start out with that intention but once I got started, I just couldn’t stop.

Well, I suppose I could have, but I didn’t. πŸ™‚

Anyway, let me discuss those Christmas songs. As I have stated, I will be placing two songs at the end of the regular medley all week. Because it is three weeks until Christmas, I will be playing what I like to call “novelty” tunes this week. As we get closer to the magical day, the songs will become more serious and more traditional.

Tomorrow will be another All Female Day!

Interesting factoid about Deep Purple’s piece
Stairway to Heaven an all time fave
Always fun and filled with info
Who doesn’t love Rudolph and Feliz Navidad is a little of the Spanish I know, other than what I learned on Sesame Street

“Duke of Earl” – I sing that one to our neighbor’s dog named Duke, who is a very large Rottweiler. It calms him down and he likes it.

Love “Smoke over the Water” and “Stairway to Heaven”. I’ve always wished that there was a stairway to heaven, so that I could visit many of the people that I have lost.

I’m sure Duke enjoys that velvet voice. πŸ™‚
      Lovely thought about ‘Stairway’. πŸ₯°

Wow! The back story about “Smoke on the Water” was informative. I always liked the song but didn’t know the story/meaning behind it.
I saw the sun today for more than 5 minutes and I believe it had something to do with this medley …. at least, that is what I am going with πŸ˜‰

      Thanks, Rose πŸ₯°
I’m glad the back story added something for you. I love doing those!
As I was reading your comment, the sun, which had been out for hours, suddenly went behind the clouds. πŸ™‚

Enjoying the Christmas music. Might actually get in the mood by the end of the week. Love the back stories also.

      Thank you, Pat πŸ₯°
It’s probably a little too soon to really get in the mood.
Back stories are fun to do.

The Duke was an old time favorite!! There is always a season!! When you listen to the words to a lot of these songs they have such meaning!! And I swear it’s never to late for peace!! Oh my goodness Ray a bottle of wine How many years did that go back??!! I remember the fire!! Most people have no idea what that song means!! Down went the gamblin’ house!! What a guitar riff and it fit the song perfectly!! The Stairway to Heaven means a lot of things to me!! Who could not love Rudolph!! Great as always!! I want to wish us all a Merry Christmas
    Love ya
