TGIF Party!

Ahh, it’s Friday so how about a rock and roll party to get you in the mood for the weekend!

We’ve got high energy music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, and they should all have you tapping your feet (and maybe even singing along)!

Oh, almost forgot. There’s a surprise tucked inside the medley, but it’s only me playing the role of Solomon!

Good Morning Solomon & good day Ray, When I saw the TGIF I wasn’t sure if I was ready but today’s medley knocked out any cobwebs in the old noggin & put a smile on my face. You even had Ted researching who wrote “Rocking Pneumonia” originally. I’m sure you’re not surprised we listened to the Christmas songs- a “wise” decision. Hope you enjoy your day as much as we enjoyed the music 🙂 Lee & Ted
PS Closing on the trailer is scheduled for January.

      Thanks, Lee & Ted 🥰🥰
I’m sure Ted discovered the song was written by Johnny Vincent and Huey “Piano” Smith and recorded by Smith in 1957.
I’m glad you enjoyed the music and thanks for listening to the Christmas tunes!
Congrats on the trailer sale. 🙂

Hard to believe but I loved a Christmas song Jingle Bell Rock
Smokin in the Boy’s Room I give a 10 cause you can dance to it
Loved your placement of Waterloo just before the Christmas songs 😂

    1. Ray (Post author)

Thanks, Mary Helen. I didn’t have any problem with the placement of ‘Waterloo’. It’s a love song…
Waterloo, I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo, promise to love you forevermore
Waterloo, couldn’t escape if I wanted to
Waterloo, knowing my fate is to be with you

So how could I ever refuse?
I feel like I win when I lose

Great songs again today. Enjoyed the Christmas songs as well. Jingle Bell Rock has always been a favorite of mine. In 1957, my sister and I went to Hartford Ct. to spend Christmas with our aunt & Uncle. Jingle Bell Rock was playing on the radio at the time. It was the first time we were away at Christmas, but we had a great time. We learned much later that our parents had very little money to buy presents for 4 kids so our aunt & uncle who had no kids were thrilled to have us.

Thank you, Pat. That is a touching and beautiful memory. ❤

I was a bad boy in high school I did have a smoke everyday in my senior year! Sometimes in the gym underneath the bleachers!! I still have the rockin pneumonia and the blues. How can you not love music like this??!! Elvis could sing any style music!! I sure did light my fire but I think we all did in those days!! So today was a great day to have a little Christmas music!! And just for the record I still believe in Santa!! Great choices today Ray!! I love Christmas Music and I said I didn’t want a full day of it as this way it makes it more festive for me!!
Love ya stay warm and safe!!

      Thanks, Fred!
People who don’t believe in Santa are clearly missing the point! 🙂
      Love ya!
