The Ladies Are Singing!

Man, did this medley cause a dilemma! I had plans to showcase so many female vocalist, but as I compiled a playlist, it became obvious that a lot of “name” singers were going to be left behind

As it is, this medley checks in at around 38 1/2 minutes long, but that doesn’t help when singers such as Joni Mitchell, Connie Francis, Lesley Gore, Olivia Newton-John, Bette Midler, Annie Lennox, Lulu, Whitney Houston and a few others fell to the wayside.

I tried to focus on the women who were big names in the 50s, 60s and 70s. As I said, I could have kept going, but, you know, time constraints!

All great songs. I love ❤️ these ladies! Tina Turner’s “Best” reminds me of a very good friend of mine who was taken from us by cancer way too early. He would always put his hands on people’s shoulders and say “simply the best”.

I cant say how much I enjoyed today’s Playlist. Bobby McGee was one of my favorite songs to play as a kid. And as an adult I play each of these songs on a regular basis. Thank you Ray for another great start to my morning..
