It’s a good day to take a look (and listen) to songs that were on top of the Billboard Hot 100 on this date.
With Medley 1, we begin on November 2, 1957 and keep right on rolling through November 2, 1966.I stopped there because I wanted the medley to last under 30 minutes, per your request.
And for listeners who like your medleys just a little longer, Medley 2 features three additional songs that inexplicably stopped at #2.

Good Morning Ray, Ted & I chose to listen to the long version today. Have to say some times it’s ok to be #2. Hope you’re taking care of yourself. Great job as always. Thanks for the music to help get our day started 🙂 Lee & Ted

Thanks, Nancy ❤️
I hope YOU have a wonderful day!
So glad I listened to the long version …. George Harrison, 10cc and Prince/Purple Rain … so worth it!
Thank you, Rose ❤️
I am so glad you enjoyed the music!
You have special songs (because I know you love at least two of them) tomorrow in both medleys.
You sure do go above and beyond for all us “fans”, Ray. I listened to the short version because I can’t seem to get caught up. Great memories here. Sugar Shack reminds me of Senior parties (a lot of fun). Saw the Supremes in concert in Burlington, sometime during my college years, and Saw Jimmy Dean on the back of his yacht, during Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor Me, sometime in the early 80’s. The name of the yacht was Big Bad John. Have a great day, Ray.
Thanks, Pat 🥰
I so appreciate the people who have supported what I do. I know life catches up with all of us from time to time and finding the time to listen isn’t possible. You should never get concerned about it. I always love reading about the memories of your life. Have a truly wonderful day!
Thanks, Ray, just taking a half hour to realax and remember makes me happy.

Had a dr’s appt today and couldn’t remember if I had commented or not … LOL Good excuse to listen again 🙂
Another great one .. great start with Elvis, love all of them but is a toss up for me – Jailhouse Rock, Big John, Sugar Shack, Last Train to Clarksville, Think I will have to go with I’m not in Love!! And what a great finish with Purple Rain …
Have a good night my friend!
XXOO
Thanks, Penny 🥰
I’m always glad when the music makes you smile. That’s what these medleys are supposed to be doing. 🙂
