On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Shortly thereafter, Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the surface, followed by Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin.
To mark the occasion, I’m playing a medley of songs with “Moon” in the title. Before you ask, yes, I did consider including Dancing In The Moonlight, Mr. Moonlight, Bad Moon Rising, Everyone’s Gone To The Moon and Man On The Moon, but if I had added all those songs, this medley would have lasted longer than the moon mission. 🙂

Harry Nilsson – Neil Young
George Harrison – Neil Armstrong
Wow! This was such a wonderful surprise, and I mean totally unexpected. Can’t think of a better day to run a medley, then on the premise of the first trip to the Moon. I loved every one of your selections, and I especially love starting off with Frank Sinatra fly me to the moon! I just can’t think of enough good things to say about this, except that I smiled through the whole thing! Thank you so much Ray this was a real treat! You’re the best! 🥰
Thanks, Sandy 🥰
As long as it made you smile, then it works for me! ❤️
First song I thought of when I saw this medley was “Moon River.” I remember it but not who did it but I think it was from my early years. Ted & I were rather busy yesterday & weren’t on the computers much. It was nice to start out our Friday morning with this moon mellow medley & memories of the moon landing. Have a relaxing, enjoyable weekend & thank you Ray 🙂 Lee & Ted
