It’s one more time around the block with Hal Blaine! I played the #1 songs (all 40 of them!) the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer, known primarily for his legendary work with the Wrecking Crew, was part of over the past two weeks.
Today the focus is on the Top 10 songs he recorded with a diverse group of artists, and I only scratched the surface!
Alongside the artists listed below, I have indicated the peak chart number in parentheses.

Well that was fun
Good upbeat start for manic Monday!
Rascals concert was worth my mother’s eye roll 😂
Thanks, Mary Helen 🥰
I hope the concert was a blast!
Spent 3 1/2 hours at the dealership getting a recall taken care of on my car. So am really late, but enjoyed it very much. I am now watching the Grammy Salute to the Beach Boys that was on TV last night so Jojo is getting lots of dancing in this afternoon. LOL
Thanks, Nancy ❤️
Sounds like Jojo had a beautiful day!
Monday music works perfect for after surgery listening now that I can somewhat focus. Thanks Ray 🙂 🙂 Ted & Lee
Thanks, Lee & Ted 🥰🥰
I hope the surgery went well! 🥰
MacArthur Park! I loved the song but had no idea who the singer was. I loved him in the films and knew that he was an Irish actor, but that was just about it…so you got me interested enough to do a little research. He was an amazing person.
Several favs:
“California Girls”
“Never My Love”
“I am a Rock”
“Live for Today”
So much fun! Thanks, Ray!
Thanks, Jim! 🥰
Richard Harris was a man of many talents and one of my favorite actors.
I am so happy I chose so many of your favorites. As I have said several times lately, I could play Hal Blaine songs for two weeks and not even come close to playing all of his Top 40 songs!
This was certainly entertaining, I just hearing those drums in each side was a delight for me. I love drums, always have!! Hal Blaine certainly the guy. I loved hearing all of these songs, I didn’t really have a favorite, except I might give an A+ plus to Frank Sinatra. I always loved his music, even though he was before my time. Thank you for this, good to be back and hopefully I will keep up with everybody. Great start for the week. You’re the best! 😘
Thanks, Sandy 🥰
It is so nice to have you back! ❤️
