Friday Blastoff!

It has been a very enjoyable week for me. Having the chance to put together such diverse music requests was a blast!

Today, as we wrap up the week, it is no different. Linda came up with two more love songs, one from the 50s and the other from the 60s; Teresa requested a rock classic from 1971; Rose wanted one song from the 60s and another from the 80s; Pat wanted to hear two exquisite instrumentals; Mary Helen has two more of her “guitar songs” included.

To all of that I added an iconic rock song from 1955, a novelty song from 1958, a #1 song from 1965, and an Elvis cover from 1992 by a legendary country music artist.

It all adds up to 13 songs and 49 minutes!

Based on a suggestion by Jim Waters, next week’s main theme is going to be “drum songs” so if you have any songs you want to hear that featured great drumming, leave them in the comment section below. There will be music other than drum songs, too, so you can also leave those in the comment section below. Mary Helen already did yesterday. 😉

Bad Morning 🙁 Good Music for a good day & weekend. Since you mentioned Harry Smith thought I would mention that his cousin Connie stood up with me when Ted & I were married. Good memory 🙂 🙂 Lee & Ted

There was a definite connection between Rose, Harry and that song. I’ll let her tell you. 🙂

Jojo loved dancing and head bobbing to these. Here are a couple for your Drumming event: Toccata by Emerson Lake & Palmer and Tribal by Nightwish (I had help from a friend to come up with these. LOL )
