Last week, I asked (on Facebook) listeners to submit song requests. I was very surprised with the results. ONE person, Cathy Johnson, asked for a song very dear to her.
I’m happy to play that song for her today. As for the rest of the songs on this long medley, they are, for the most part, connected to this date in rock and roll history.
Hold The Phone! Yesterday I received an excellent set of requests from Mary Helen Hawthorne and I’ll get to those next week! That’s TWO!

I don’t see (or read) all of your Facebook posts, so I missed the request one. I will send you a few by IM later today. Loved this Throwback Thursday medley. It’s funny how I have forgotten many of these songs, but when I hear them, my memory comes back. Thank you, Ray!
Thank you, Jim! I appreciate the kind words about today’s medley and I look forward to your requests!

You and I have been on the same downbeat for a long, long time. I am the one who feels honored to have such a loyal listener.
I honestly thought of you when I played the Johnny Cymbal song!
Knock this day out of the park!
Love Ya!
Haven’t seen a robin yet but soon I’m sure. Spring is on it’s way despite the snow we’ve gotten. Glad I live in a sunbelt here in VT Thank you for a morning of music & catching up. Even glanced through this weeks Springfield Reporter while listening. Again, Thank you Ray 🙂 🙂 Lee & Ted
Thanks, Lee and Ted 🥰🥰
This week’s snow is just a minor inconvenience.
I am so glad your morning was filled with music!
Something for everyone today
It made me smile
Backstories are always enlightening
Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
Glad it made you smile. Smiling is good for you. 🙂
I’m glad you appreciate the backstories. I enjoy digging up those rock factoids!
Enjoyed them all as we always do. Thanks for all your hard work and have a wonderful and safe day.
Thanks, Nancy and Jojo 🥰
I always appreciate your kind comments. You always manage to make me smile. 🙂
I guess I missed it on Facebook, if it’s not to late I have a few I’d like to give you. Unchained Melody, Look At Us, Remember When and Cara Mia. I could go on and on. Love you
It’s never too late, sweetheart ❤
Love you too!
A day late, listening, but these were great again. Love The Base Man, and so sad that Otis Redding died so young-such a great voice. So, when did Perkins & Harrison get together? Good song, don’t remember it. On another subject, how about some country rock, sometime, maybe A Good Hearted Woman or Steve Earle(Copperhead Road or Guitar Man)?
Thanks, Pat 🥰
Perkins and Harrison recorded that song in 1996, a couple of years before Carl’s death.
Thank you for the requests!
