I’ve seen many comments asking for some “history” to be included in these medleys and today, that is what you’re going to get. All but one song – the opening one – is connected to January 30.
I could explain this in detail but I’m going to save myself some typing and let my voice do all the work. 🙂

Monday, Monday Medley
Mamas & Papas – Elvis Presley
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
Gene Pitney – Patsy Cline
Beatles – U2
Andrews Sisters – Phil Collins
Monday’s musical medley was marvelous & a great way to start this morning. TY Ray 🙂 🙂 Lee & Ted
Thanks, Lee and Ted 🥰🥰
I hope the rest of your day keeps that happy glow going!
I feel refreshed and more educated now. I had completely forgotten about that Bloody Sunday in Northern Ireland.
I remember my parents listening to the Andrews Sisters and that very song for sure.
Thank you Ray!
Thank YOU, Jim!
That Andrews Sisters song is just a little beyond my usual musical scope, but I thought it might be a nice change of pace. As for the despicable British action in Northern Ireland, I consider myself to be more of a history nut than anything else so I thought it was important to include that U2 song.
Have a wonderful day!
Loved them all and enjoyed hearing your voice, so say the typing and talk away. Have a great day!
Thanks, Nancy ❤
As always, I’m so glad you enjoyed it, even my voice!
A-great way to start this Monday, Monday. Many memories-I Fall To Pieces, one of my favorites, and yes, A lot of great songs in 1961. I remember The Andrew sisters from many old movies.
Thanks, Pat 🥰
Whenever I play a Patsy Cline song, I think of YOU!
Happy Monday Monday! Love the mamas, and the Papas, and I sure did love hearing Elvis Presley’s blue suede shoes! Patsy Cline was awesome, and I loved every one of her songs. There’s just something about her delivery that is so sacred. Of course hearing the Andrew Sisters, reminds me of my mom and dad because that used to be one of their favorite songs that boogie Woogie bugle boy from Company, B, but the final song, on his birthday, Phil Collins, something in the air tonight and those fabulous drums of his! I just loved this medley, and I am playing it again this afternoon. You did a great job for us to start the week, and I, for one, am a grateful gal! Thank you Ray, you’re the best! 🥰
Thanks, Sandy 🥰
Have I ever told you I LOVE your exuberance! ❤
I always feel energized and full of happiness, when I have listened to one of your medleys. I just don’t think I can possibly explain the feeling that stays with me for hours. The entertainment provided is to me so personal. I realize it’s for everyone, but I just feel that you’re talking to me when you’re talking. I learned so much today, and I am more than grateful for the energy that you exert getting these medleys together for us. So, if I. Seem exuberant, that is why! Love ya !
You make me feel more special than I will ever be, but thank you!❤
Love Ya!
Great way to start the week, Ray! Loved this medley. Patsy Cline…if there ever was a smoother country voice, I haven’t heard it. Amazing.
Thank you, Pat! Patsy Cline left us far, far too soon.
