A Mega-Music Marathon

If you’re into medleys shorter than 30 minutes, I’m going to apologize up front! I just kept playing songs connected to this date in rock and roll history and before I knew it, it had turned into a 15-song, 50-minute marathon!

Most of the songs are here because the artists who recorded them were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on this date, but there are also songs that were #1 on the pop, country and R&B charts on this date, as well. Oh, and there’s another song, recorded on this date, in which a session musician earned a whopping $42 for his iconic efforts.

And finally, there is a special song dedicated to Rudy and Linda! ❤️

What a great medley with pointers to so many Hall of Famer’s! I have just loved it thought it was so well done, with so many songs that I love, and I haven’t heard for such a long time! One of my very favorites—Ragdoll! Loved hearing, Brenda Lee again, And the Shirelles, the Beatles, the platters, and ending up with The Who! You outdid yourself on this one right it was fabulous! Thank you so much, and now I’m going to listen to Mondays, which I never did get to, because I was kind of like a ragdoll from the weekend of birthday celebrations. Thanks so much you’re the best! 🥰

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I am very glad you enjoyed it but I am sorry it got away from me and lasted so long! As long as it made you smile, that’s what is important to me. 🙂

      Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
I like the fact that my talking doesn’t seem to bother anyone. I’d like to think the “historical” info helps.

Ray I spent a bunch of time replying to this and somehow I lost it!! I think my mind is less than a Rag Doll’s! Any way you had me chair dancin right off!! And I loved it!! I can’t believe I lost it!! Oh well hopefully my wit will be back tomorrow!! It did bring me back to 1963 and I remember thinking that there was know way our President got shot!! And the music brought my mind back to better memories! I can only guess Who will be on tomorrow!! It is almost like you serve these songs up on a silver Platter!! Loved the ending tunes and I really like the info you give us! Want to send a shoutout to Dylan and glad all went well!
    Love ya!!

As usual a great selection of songs, brings back many memories of days gone bye. A special thank you for Rudy’s song, he nearly drove his mother crazy playing that record over and over again. It brought a big smile when he heard it. Keep up the good work and just for the record no pun intended, I LOVE YOUR VOICE.
