Going Way Back!

We’ve reached the midway point of the week and once again we’re celebrating with music covering a period between 1956 and 1981.

We’ve got three #1 songs on this date, a song recorded by the Beach Boys 58 years ago today, a screamer from CCR, and a lot more before we close it out with an album cut by Bob Seger. It all adds up to ten songs in 32 minutes and a lot of memories!

Going way back was certainly a hit for me! Love, Gary Puckett and the union gap! I especially loved hearing, Johnny Mathis, and I’m always a giant fan of the Beach boys. Yup love that song! Tell me, James and the Shondells, or another of my favorites, and certainly a fan of Eddie rabbit! I haven’t heard anything by Aaron Neville in such a long time, and had almost forgotten that silky voice. We sure can’t ever miss with George Harrison. Gosh I love that song, my sweet lord, I used to play it over and over again. Thank you so much for all of us Ray this was fabulous, and some wonderful selections. As always, You’re the best!🥰

      Thank you, Sandy! 🥰
I know how much you enjoy Tommy James. I added Crystal Blue Persuasion because I haven’t played it in years.
I am so glad you enjoyed it all!

Amazes me how I don’t think these medleys can get any better then BAM .. here you go again!!! Absolutely love Eddie Rabbit .. he had a great voice and was a great song writer as well! I loved every one of these songs but I think George Harrison was my favorite for the day. I actually stopped work to just close my eyes and sit and listen to this wonderful medley .. LOL
    now back to the grind!
Have a great day my friend!

This was Wonderful, Wonderful, and full of good advice, too. Must live for today at my age, ha, ha. And the voices of Johnny Mathis and Aaron Neville, just superb!

      Thank you, Pat! 🥰
Voices like Mathis and Neville are few and far between. As the old saying goes, they don’t make them like that anymore.
