We have arrived at the final stop on our medleys of Christmas music. We start with two “traditional” Christmas classics before rolling into songs that reflect the real reason for the season.
Over the past month, I have tried to touch all the bases. I have played memories of Christmas novelty tunes, country Christmas songs, rock and roll Christmas favorites, and of course Christmas classics sung by iconic crooners.
I hope my efforts have, in some small way, helped to bridge the distance between us all. It was my intent to close that gap by playing memories from our past in order to remind you we have so many reasons to feel blessed.
Once a year (and sadly only once a year), the world stands still to celebrate the advent of a single life. In this final medley, the music is all about that birth and it concludes with not one, but two absolutely stunning performances.
For anyone wondering why Handel’s “Messiah” is included, it is true that the masterpiece was originally intended for Easter, but by the 1960s had been almost completely transformed into a Christmas event.
I sincerely hope the collection of medleys over the past few weeks has ignited the spirit of Christmas in your heart. I can’t thank you enough for your lovely comments. ❤
I am taking a break next week so I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy 2023!

A majestic holiday medley
Did I discern Dylan’s voice a few times this past week? If not, your voices are quite similar-good radio voices
Have a very merry Christmas and the best new year
Thanks, Mary Helen 🥰
It has been Dylan’s voice all week. I thought people had probably heard enough of mine. 🙂
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy 2023!
The most beautiful Christmas Carol ever, I’m dreaming of a White Christmas with Bing Crosby! I also love his Silent Night! Thank you for this! There will never be another crooner like him with a voice that is so unmistakable And Nat King Cole is still roasting, chestnuts, another of my favorites! I also loved his Away in a Manger! I loved the little drummer, boy, duet, so special! I loved hearing Johnny Mathis, do the first Noel, and also Hark the Herald Angels!, which might’ve been 33 1/3 album that my parents bought. So many memories here. Martina, McBride and Michael Smith an awesome job on what child is this? Oh, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with O Holy Night ! What a fabulous rendition of that Carol, I could listen to them over and over. The Johann Strauss Orchestra was absolutely awesome! That finale with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and their version of hallelujah, was the topper! This was the best Christmas medley that I think I’ve ever heard, including almost all of my favorite Christmas songs! So happy that you had original artists to sing them. Ray, I hope that you and your family all have a wonderful holiday season and that you celebrate and hold each other deer with the passing of 2022,, And the welcoming of 2023! May we all have wonderful things happen, and our health be foremost! You’re the best! 🥰🎄⛄️🎈🍾❤️
Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I hope the music had a calming effect, considering the type of weather you’ve had today. More to the point, I hope the medleys this month brought a renewal of spirit to everyone who listened.
I hope this weekend with your family is as beautiful as you are. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! ❤️
Ted & I finished today’s medley & I had him start our new Smokey Robinson CD we bought. Watched a Christmas movie where he played himself. After saying he wanted to spend the holiday with his family he showed up at a fundraiser in a church that needed a new roof. He walked in down the aisle singing & it brought tears to my eyes. I had forgotten what a beautiful voice he had. I hope you realize how much your Christmas medleys’ have contributed to the joy of the season. Wishing all the best for you & yours with Happy Holidays & an even better 2023 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Lee and Ted 🥰
Smokey’s voice was so silky smooth.

Listened today to the last 2 medleys. (Had a couple of busy days-Senior night for my grandson at his last home wrestling match, and Dr appointment.) And then no power yesterday for 20 hrs or so. Today a quiet New Year’s Eve Day. Today was a beautiful ending to a great week of Christmas medleys. Loved the “old” carols and the old voices! Hope you have a great break and a healthy, Happy New Year.
Thank you, Pat. 🥰
Yesterday was a long day for you. I’m very glad you enjoyed the medleys.
