Good Morning Ray, How surprised was I to hear my name in a dedication…granted other FL friends were included..but none the less. I don’t recall ever having a song played for me. I hadn’t heard it before, but there were other favorites That I will be playing again with a second cup of coffee 🙂
Thanks Ray…will be feeling special all day long 🙂

      Happy Wednesday, Nancy 🥰
I hope Jojo did a relaxing dance to the Florida song!

This was grade starting off with the crickets one of my favorite groups! It only could get better from there on and on and on we go through Jimmy Clanton , Billy Swan and ABBA. I sang along with Don McLean and Roger Miller. Loved ending up with Burl Ives and that snappy tune from Johnny Mathis. I remember when my mom and dad bought that 33 1/3 album, at Christmas time when it first came out. Yikes time just goes by so rapidly. I love the nod and dedication to the folks in Florida, and all of the recognition that you’ve given to different people. It is always so fun to hear your name on the radio. It takes me back to earlier times. My mom helped me call the radio station when I was five years old to request the teddy bears picnic! I still love to hear that song there is something about that song that just is magical. At any rate, I am rambling and that’s what we do here we think back to earlier times and we get reminded of things and that’s why they call them memories. Ray, you have managed to stir up a lot in me this morning, and I’m so grateful. Thank you for this medley it was fantastic. You are the best, and I mean that sincerely! I hope that you have a peaceful and satisfying day! 🥰🎶🥰

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I am so glad today’s music stirred up such special memories for you. Don’t ever consider your comments to be “rambling.” They come straight from your big and precious heart. ❤️

Just a hundred pounds of flesh that would slow me down a little bit!!what a Journey we are on!!Then along came 1979!! We need to welcome Marty and Karen to Fl.. I gotta bet Eileen is listening and if the New Englanders are Listening well I heard the weather report!! I think I prefer this weather!! Man I sure don’t miss those cigarettes but I still feel like I can be King of the Road!!
And I hope we all have a jolly Christmas!! And I’m sure Eileen has had a song played for her!!enjoy your wonderful world of snow!! Have a great day Ray
    Love ya

Fred, that was an amazing commentary! 🥰
Eileen seemed quite pleased to hear her name. Doing that for listeners makes me feel good. 🙂
      Please take care of yourself.
      No snow here yet!
      Love Ya!

    2. Pat Conant

Superb comments, today, Fred! As for our wonderful world of snow-it is 60 degrees here in Wells, Vt. Ha, ha!

I’m seriously thinking about mowing my lawn, Pat 🤣

A great mix of songs again today, Ray. As Sandy said full of great memories. The Crickets-one of the first 45s we bought. My sister, brother & I had received a record player for Christmas and every week we would go to The Village Music store and by a record with our $1.00 allowance! “Judy’s Turn To Cry”, reminds me of a relationship I had at that time,LOL. Still great memories despite the drama at the time. And Roger Miller & Christmas songs to end with-perfect.

    1. Ray (Post author)

      Thank you, Pat 🥰
I just LOVE hearing about memories! I’d say your allowance was well spent. By the way, next week I’ll be increasing the number of Christmas songs each day.

How very special it is to “gift” your listeners with songs and a dedication to say “THANKS” for listening . Speaking as a “listener”, we cannot thank you enough for bringing back special memories of a MAGICAL time in all of our lives.
I know FB has really been a challenge for you but you have persevered … not only do we have the music to connect us we have connected with friends, old and new and with the most trusted, talented voice on the air! LEMIRE
I really enjoyed hearing Jimmy Clanton today, another reminder of a magical time! And listening to Johnny Mathis ALMOST made me wish for snow, ALMOST … to take that sleigh ride <3

    1. Ray (Post author)

      Thank you, Rose 🥰
Wow, what an extraordinary set of comments! It is a pleasure doing this. It sure can’t be classified as work!
Facebook has been more than a challenge, but so many listeners opted in to receiving the links by email or private message that it made FB’s efforts futile.
I’m glad the Clanton song brought back special memories but even though you love Mr. Mathis, pass on the snow and take an imaginary sleigh ride! ❤️

  7. Mary Helen Hawthorne

    Loved the Xmas selections
Danced to A Hundred Pounds of Clay many times in Susan Burton Hennessey’s basement
Thank you for bringing us the magic of music memories regularly

    1. Ray (Post author)

And another memory pops up! Thank you, Mary Helen, for your always kind comments. 🥰

  8. Peter Means

    Ray,
What can I say! You had me toe tapping to the Crickets and then I heard my name! What a thrill! Like Eileen, I was surprised, but so pleased! Life is great in my 77th year! Still mobile and can remember “most” things! I love your music and listen regularly! I remember these songs like yesterday, but don’t ask me what I did yesterday! LoL Hope all continues well with you! I’m doing well and enjoying life! God has blessed me with a great family and great health!! Thank you for you!!! Cheers, Pete

    1. Ray (Post author)

      Thank you, Peter 🥰
Sounds like you have been very blessed! I am so glad you enjoy the music and I couldn’t have played a California song without thinking of you so you became a dedication! 🙂

  9. Rosa-Lee Gould

Ted & I listened on Wednesday, 12-7, 2022. Will try to get to Thursday’s again. Didn’t comment yesterday ’cause I was working on Christmas cards 🙂
