Dylan is spending the day recalling the music of the 1970s but he also has a big surprise for you near the end.
He’s got a very long forgotten 45 (I mean really long forgotten) and a song dedicated to Sandy. He’s also playing CCR’s final single and The Byrds final Top 40 hit. Just after that big surprise near the end, he is kicking off the annual Christmas music (relax, we’re only playing two songs per day this week.)
In total, he’s got a 12-song, 43-minute medley that will get your week started on the right note!

Dylan, Thanks for the great start to our new week. Hope all goes well with your surgery. We’ve enjoyed having you as part of the family. Take care.
Thank you Nancy, that means a lot. Have a great Monday! ๐
What a great medley and a couple great songs to start Christmas medley. Dylan, you are a rock star and always welcome here! Good luck with your surgery and quick recovery, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great day!
Thank you Penny, that is so, so kind. I hope you have a great day as well!
Good Morning Ray & Dylan, Surprise! Ted & I listened on the day posted. I saw Ernie & knew it wasn’t my brother & had to chuckle when the song started. Have an old plastic coated bath book that the grands & greats have enjoyed over the years. Ted always has said no Christmas ’til after Thanksgiving & I might start my newsletter earlier & finish after. Usually would decorate after his birthday (10th). This year he started right after Thanksgiving with outside lights & even has the tree, angel & lights up. No ornaments yet but soon. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas ๐ I think we all need some Christmas music & spirit. Today’s musical medley was well done, as always. Now I have to say that Dylan’s announcement came as a surprise but I know the Streamingoldies family will all be praying for him & his family so a good day to all ๐
I’m glad it’s starting to feel like Christmas for you, Lee! It’s such a happy, cozy time of year ๐ Enjoy your day!
Nice medley, Dylan. Good luck with the surgery and getting back to work. It’s been nice getting to know you and look forward to you, maybe, popping back in from time to time! I had both knees replaced last year and I’m very glad that I did. Recuperation was pretty quick and I can even run if I ever need to! What is it that you do for work? Best to you, Jim
I’ve been a cook for about 10 years but I’m considering other options. I really appreciate the supportive feedback, Jim! Best to you as well.
Wonderful medley! Dylan, good luck with your surgery, and hope for a quick recovery! It’s been a joy having you here! You will be missed!
Thank you Donna, that is so sweet ๐
I believe this was one of the greatest Monday medleys, that Iโve heard. So many songs that I could identify with, starting right off with Ann Murrayโs Snowbird. My dadโs song, he sang it all the time to the radio in the car. I love it when I can hear songs that remind me of days gone by, not that I would want to go back there, but the recall is 100%. This was fantastic. I loved hearing the Christmas music. I of course, loved all the groups. I wouldnโt wanna listen any other way. Dylan, you do such a great job, and are such an intregal part of the family. I am going to miss you more than you can imagine while you take your time to go have some surgery done, you will be in my prayers, I have already developed such a huge love for you. I wish you well, my young friend, and I know you will come back to the streamingoldies family. Thank you for all the joy that youโve given and I hope that your holidays are everything that you dream of. Merry Christmas to you, and to you too Ray! You guys are awesome! ๐ฅฐ๐โ๏ธโค๏ธ
YOU are awesome, Sandy! Thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate your kind words. ๐ฅฐ
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot, and I feel so stupid! Thank you for the recognition of going to Carolina, in my mind, and the nod! Everyone loves to hear their name. It made me tear up a bit! I may be a Carolina girl, but at heart I am still a Vermonter โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Don’t feel stupid at all! It was a pleasure to play one of your requests ๐
Hey Dylan, if this was your swan song for a while, you made it spectacular
Loved every minute, even the great Xmas selections
Tons of healing energy to you for a great outcome
You made my day
Thank you Mary Helen! You all make my day every time I’ve stood in for my Papa. ๐
Best of luck to you with your surgery, Dylan. Loved to hear some Christmas music and hope to hear more from you after you recuperate.
