It’s the day before FriYay and I’m in a rock and roll mood. Well, mostly. I’ve got songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s lined to get you through the day!
I have also upped my “chatting” (sounds better than “blathering”, right?), maybe to the point you’ll want me to shut up!
Dylan will be here tomorrow for a full scale rock and roll party!

Throwback Thursday
Three Dog Night – Bobby Darin
Status Quo – Honeycombs
Dale & Grace – ABBA
Bill Parsons – Jay & The Americans
Jerry Reed – Bobby Goldsboro
Ohio Express – Young Rascals
From Jeremiah was a bullfrog!, All the way to wait till the midnight hour!, What a grand bunch of entertainment. This was great I was moving and Groovin dancing all around my kitchen and on into the living room. Tried singing to the cats, I think they were secretly saying give it up you are not a swinger. But by gosh this Just makes you want to be on your toes moving. Abba, Dale and grace, And who doesn’t love some Jay and the Americans. The Bobby Goldsboro hit I always loved. It always made me cry, and, of course, this one kind of touched me a little bit too few tears down the cheeks. I loved this from beginning to end, Ray!! You’re the best! 🥰
Thank you, Sandy 🥰
You just made me smile. 🙂 I thank you for that. 🥰
Again you have blown me away! And I for one really enjoyed hearing more of the chatting! Keep on Rocking! Thank you for all that you do! Listen every morning really brightens my day!
Thank you, Donna 🥰
I appreciate the “chatter” feedback. 🙂 I always get concerned I get in the way of the music!
No surprise another great look back into our younger days! Thanks so much <3 <3
Thanks, Nancy ❤️
I have almost forgotten what our younger days felt like. 😉
Thank God we have the music to remind us!
Another great medley and what a way to start it with Joy to the World, absolutely love it!! I have been listening while working and thought I heard my name. Stopped working and backed it up, yep, you mentioned my name, how sweet of you!!!
As for worst 2nd to whoever claims worst songs of the 60’s, I sure would like to know the criteria they used cause “Honey” was and still is a beautiful, haunting song!!
I, for one enjoy hearing you “blathering”, “chatting”, whatever you want to call it …… I think it adds a personal touch from an amazing, caring, giving man!! Yes, you are all those things for all the selfless things you do putting these medleys together to who knows what else you do for others.
Thanks Ray and now back to work .. yay me!
XXXOOO
Thank you, Penny 🥰
I was hoping you would notice. 😉 I sincerely appreciate the kind words about my “chatting”. If people like it, I will continue to do it. Have a wonderful day!
XXXOOO
These were great, as usual (despite the 2 worst songs of the decade}. I liked them all, and of course you know I have a special attachment & love for Dale and Grace! So many memories brought back thru the music.
Thank you, Pat 🥰
Every time I hear Dale & Grace, I think of you!
Please keep up the commentary…love the history and backstory
I can see why the losers were losers
Great ending selection
Thanks, Mary Helen 🥰
The commentary shall continue 🙂
I love that last song, so even though it was never a single, I’m very happy someone else enjoyed it, too!
Don’t shut up. It’s a big part of why you have the followers. Great mix of lost memories for me! I remember the chorus lines of many of these songs, but never really listened to the lyrics as fully as I do now.
Gee, Jim. I’ve never had anyone tell me not to shut up! 🤣
Trust me, I’ve only just begun to talk!
Sunday, 12/4/2022 Ted & I really enjoyed “Throwback Thursday.” I think that your commentary/blathering/chatting only adds to the medleys. I have noticed that many radio stations have a set list of songs that are repeated over & over; plus you hear the same music on other stations like there’s one list only. Your chatting brings back the memories from the past. Good music, a good chat & a good day 🙂
Thanks, Lee and Ted.
I am very proud of the fact that I don’t have the same boring setlists. With over 44,000 songs in my database, I can mix things up quite nicely. I will continue to throw my voice into the mix, even though I’m not crazy about how I sound.
I’m very glad you enjoyed the music! 🥰
