Join us today for a walk down memory lane as we reflect on both the good and the bad. The first six songs reflect on simpler times when the bad days were few and far between. The final three songs are a tribute to George Harrison, who died 21 years ago today … Bad times, indeed.

Ray, I’ve got to say, this mix was one of my favorites. When I say that I like your “blathering” I mean it in the best way. The more you make us believe that we are listening to “live, real radio” the better. That connection…feeling that there is a person that we can relate to and love behind the music selections is paramount. It is truly lost today. This is what radio used to be all about. I know that it can be brought back. People seem to be lost now-a-days. That personal connection is needed. Just a LITTLE bit about the song and the group’s update…a member or that the band played at Woodstock, or whatever helps. That speaking to your active audience and not being high-and-almighty means so very much…just some food for thought for Dylan Place. I think he might just be able to create something that brings warmth and who knows what.
Love this music!

Jim, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤
Believe it or not, I am still a work in progress. I haven’t done the “live in studio” thing since 2007 but I am slowly getting back into it. Thank you for all the positive energy.
Wow, Jim, you said it! All of the blathering is one of my very favorite parts of the medley now. Just to hear on announcing like you say about the songs were about the artist, or about where it came from or about when it was done, and including the personal requests. It just sounds like I am listening to a live radio show with my very favorite DJ!
Thank you, Sandy ❤
Happy Tuesday. Jojo and I listened to both todays and yesterdays this morning, as I was tied up with my little buddy yesterday. Awesome as always. Thanks and have a great week. Pepper went home yesterday but I gave her mommy the link so she can play some for her when she is home.
Thank you, Nancy (and Jojo) ❤
It was very kind of you to pass on the link. I certainly appreciate it … and I appreciate YOU!
Enjoyed this
Can’t go wrong with George Harrison!
Thnks, Mary Helen 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it … and you’re right about George. 🙂
Crazy days ahead Ray but you in the background makes it a little better!! You know how I love George so thank you !! I must say I am glad you didn’t catch Jim in the shower again but what he says rings true so never stop the “blathering”!!
Love ya
Thank you, Fred! It looks like my non-blathering days are over. It does make the process a little more time consuming but I understand why it makes the finished product sound more like radio … and I aim to please.
Love Ya!
This was so terrific! I just love Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, the mamas, and the Papas and I am so happy that you out of those three songs from George Harrison! It doesn’t seem possible it’s been 21 years since he passed. He was fantastic and such a giant part of the Beatles. All of this was over the top great!! You sure can pick up my don’t know where you find them from you must have a library as big as the national library in Washington DC! I just do love the personal touches that you’ve added and I know Dylan will continue because he is coming right after you and trying to fit in those shoes. Thank you so so much for all of this! You’re the best, and I so look forward to what you do! 🥰❤️
Thank you, Sandy 🥰
I am very glad you enjoyed it. It is always nice when people respond in a positive manner, something you always do!
And yeah, my library is ridiculously large! 😉
another great one and a great way to finish it with George Harrison .. he didn’t seem to get the credit he deserved!
Have a good night and stay warm and dry!

Thanks, Penny 🥰
George was always treated as an afterthought by too many people.

Just wonderful today, Ray. The voices of Roy Orbison and The Righteous Brothers are just plain beautiful! I had forgotten how good George Harrison was. Thanks for the reminder. Also need to say that Jim’s comments were right on. Love the DJ!!
Thank you so much, Pat 🥰
Just so you know, the DJ loves you, too!
