The Thanksgiving mini-break is over and I’m back and ready to play hit songs that may have slipped off your radar.
No, these are not Forgotten 45s, but despite their success “back in the day,” you rarely hear them on oldies radio stations today.
How many of them do you remember?
Memories … That’s What We’re All About
Play buttons are on the left … Volume sliders are on the right
Lost Gems
Knickerbockers – Sam Cooke
Drifters – Zombies
Brian Wilson – Monkees
Fifth Estate – Bee Gees
Crispian St. Peters
Engelbert Humperdinck
Louis Armstrong – Van Morrison
It was so nice listening to “Real Radio’s Memories Medley” this morning while taking a shower. Imagine my surprise when I heard my name! Thank you, Ray, for playing my request…it was just like the old days!
Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful,
Jim
Thanks, Jim! I had to play that request because it came from a real gem. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Recognized a few with great pleasure
Some were really forgotten
Happy Monday if that’s not a non sequitur
Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
Every single day we wake up is a “Happy” day!

Thank you, Fred! You are on a serious roll today!
The Brian Wilson song was released as his first solo record, and two months later, reissued as the closing track on the Beach Boys’ album Pet Sounds. Brian says it his favorite track on Pet Sounds and among the finest songs he ever wrote.
Love Ya!
Another great medley .. I don’t know which I like more, what songs you are going to surprise us with every day, reading the wonderful comments from everyone (like Fred..LOL), to hear your voice thrown in there … LOVE it all, you are amazing and it is obvious where Dylan gets his mojo from 🙂
Have a great evening my friend!!

Thank you so much, Penny ❤
Yep, Fred is a trip, to be sure! 🙂
I’m not convinced my voice adds a whole lot to the medley, but I guess it’s here to stay. I’m very fortunate to have Dylan as a co-conspirator! 🤣

Wow, have I been missing a lot! I just loved hearing Engelbert Humperdinck, haven’t heard that song in such a long, long time. Love it and I love Louis Armstrong hello Dolly gosh I haven’t heard this song in years. I have been singing this along with the songs to the cats, they are not real happy. I can tell ya I guess I need to polish up my voice not using it over the past week so much for singing I must’ve lost my touch. L O L. Then the drifters. Oh my gosh love them! OK I’m think I’m using a little bit too much love in here. Oh but wait wait I don’t think you can ever have too much love. Thank you so much for this one. This was fantastic course I start a little backwards and I listen to Tuesday first and then went back to Monday so now I gotta go back and make my comments on Tuesday. Maybe I got a list of Tuesday again. Thank you Ray you sure are the best! Love it 😍🥰. PS. Fred you knocked it out of the park!
Sandy, I am sure your voice is perfectly fine. 🥰
There is not, nor has there ever been, a time when there was such a thing as too much love. ❤
Listening on Wednesday, a little behind. 2 0f these I don’t remember at all-The Knickerbockers & Brian Wilson, and a couple are only vaguely familiar. As for “Release Me” and “Hello Dolly”, it is strange that these aren’t played any more. Love both of these.
At the very least, Pat, I hope you enjoyed the songs you weren’t familiar with. 🥰
I did enjoy all of these, Ray, and I hope you know that I really appreciate all that you do to bring us great music & memories.
Pat, I hope you know how much I appreciate you! 🥰
Well worth the wait; couldn’t pull it up earlier in the week but as my son Charlie has always told me “you’ve got to be smarter than what you’re working with.” Listened 12/2/2022 🙂
Thank you, Lee 🥰
Good things come to those who wait 😉
