Let The Girls Play!

Let’s hear it for the ladies! It’s an All Female 36-minute medley today, and before someone suggests I’m reversing my policy on “no theme” medleys, let me explain.

When I was putting together the list of songs I wanted to play today, there were a couple of “girl songs” included. A few minutes later, the list had grown to 4 songs and I decided to scrap anything by the guys and load up on the women.

So no, I am not going back on my promise. This isn’t a theme. It’s just a matter of good taste. 🙂

I had no idea that “Close to you” was recorded by anyone before Karen Carpenter…I loved that song 🙂
Thanks for a great Monday morning!

      Thanks, Eileen 🥰
Sometimes it takes a few efforts before a song becomes a hit. No one could ever do it like Karen.
I’m glad you learned something new!

I don’t mind an all female day!! I don’t think that you were thinking of a theme but somehow I can’t see you singing in the sunshine it’s to cold!! However we did sing in the clubs!! I don’t remember you speaking French!! But music is the universal language!! In 1963 I was so fine I was a soft spoken guy!! Poor Karen Carpenter a real talent!! I sure did get my fair share of lipstick on my collar!! 1967 the last year of high school there sure were some changes!! Gold chains!! Those were the days Ray!! Unfortunately they did end!! Now I sing and chair dance!! It certainly was a Surprise to hear Mama Cass !! What a Supreme ending!! How can you not be happy with this all female day!! What great way to start the day!!
    Love ya
