Do You Remember?

Okay, I did not win Powerball on Monday night Tuesday morning so I’m here!

Today we have several pop classics, a couple of doo-wop songs, an iconic prog-rock song (with an organ solo for the ages), some R&B greats, a timeless rock classic, and then there’s the finale, added because the vocals to this powerful song were recorded 53 years ago today!

Loved today’s mix! Although winning the lottery would have been a close second!
This is real radio, (blabbing was just right) which so very much helps my fond memories of the great years that I was growing up.
The last inclusion brought back lots of memories. When I felt a little down, I would sit in my room, play this song and sing along with the lyrics…only thing is that I would sing, bridge over troubled “Waters”.
Thank you, Ray, for bringing back those days to me as well as making this “true radio”.

      Thank you so much, Jim!
Yeah, winning the lottery would have been “okay,” but I get my riches from comments such as yours.
So happy you enjoyed the music!

      Thank you, Penny 🥰
That Simon & Garfunkel song has special significance for Wendy and me because my grandson Dylan song a solo verse at his final high school choral group performance. ❤️
I am feeling better, thank you!
      XOXO

I love it that so many people hear the words”over troubled waters”.

That is how Paul Simon originally wrote the song.

What a beautiful and diverse medley you gave us this day. Just anything that you were looking for in the line of music was in this medley. I loved it all but I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be the Simon and Garfunkel Bridge over troubled waters! It reminds me of having three babies at home to take care of and trying to work two jobs. Isn’t that funny the things that come to your mind! Of course I also loved Sam Cooke always have, and I could just keep going on and on but we might run out of space here. I’m so glad I listened to this today, when I’m feeling chill, and could sing and dance along with the music makes my heart soar! Please do remember Ray, you’re the best! 🥰

Once again, your enthusiasm is contagious. I can almost feel it! If you promise to keep singing, I promise to keep doing them!
