Tuneful Tuesday!

I did not win Powerball last night. Technically I didn’t lose either because the drawing was delayed because lottery officials needed “extra time to complete the required security protocols.”

And so as I write this at 3:45 on Tuesday morning, I, along with millions of others, continue to wait. I did promise not to be here if I won, but since I don’t know the results, I decided to just be a nice guy and post a medley.

Powerball results notwithstanding, hopefully this medley will get you up and moving straight out the door to your local voting location.

If you have already voted (thank you for that!), feel free to let the music simply take you away to a place where political ads will no longer drive you crazy!

Memories … That’s What We’re All About

Tuneful Tuesday!

Alan Jackson – Kenny Chesney

You will certainly win, as I know that they would have to check your background first…and it is impeccable (I hope…ha ha!) I buy all of my local honey from a very nice couple. I had to share this with them.

And thanks again for bringing back my most fond memories! It’s remarkable how a song that I haven’t heard for ever…can’t even come up with the artist or the song title…but brings back memories that I would not remember without the song that you come up with.

Thank you so much, Ray, for making my day better!

Jim, memories are what I hope to bring back with every song, so I’m always pleased when someone points out the memories they recall. If I can make your day better, that makes MY day better!

Ray, this was terrific certainly a lively mix for a Tuesday morning, hopefully an encouragement to those that haven’t voted yet to get out there and vote, and a way to keep from biting your fingers off while you’re waiting for the results of the lottery. May the best candidate win and may the best person win the lottery! I loved all the songs I especially like the way that you mixed in some of the country ones haven’t heard those in a long time. Tipping our hats to Jerry Lee Lewis and loved Jimmie Rodgers as your opener. This was great, but not as great as you! You’re the best! 🥰

Thank you, Sandy. I may not have won the lottery but as long as I have supporters like you, I consider myself to be very, very fortunate. As always, I’m so happy you enjoyed the tunes!

There’s always a Beatles tune in the mix that fits
    Jerry Lee Lewis remembered
Lots of tuneful nonsense appropriate to a crazy election day and madness from a lunar eclipse
Sorry for us if you win the big one, but not jinxing you 😂

      Thank you, Mary Helen.
So glad you enjoyed the music. You can relax about the lottery taking me away. I won a whopping $4 so I guess I’ll be sticking around!

What a great medley especially throwing in a couple of good country songs 🙂 Helped get me awake @ 3:30 this morning (daylight savings time has my sleep all messed up…LOL) Well they finally announced the PB #’s .. didn’t get anything and it doesn’t appear anyone won the jackpot .. now at 2.3B …. WOW!!! Now back to work I go! Have a wonderful day Ray!

Thanks, Penny! Sadly, Powerball did announce a winner (from California), although I assume the winner doesn’t think it’s sad. I’m happy the music helped you to wake up with a smile!

This music is a great for our heart and souls!! And to stay on a positive note my tractor was sexy!! So grateful for this break in our day!! And that voice sounds so familar!! It sounds like the #1 DJ in the country!! Well Jerry Lee was so fun to hear!! 1965 was a good year everything was sweet!! (voted already) Great tunes Ray!! You are one of the reasons why the USA is the place to be!! Hopefully the storm will go a little further up north of our area!!

Fred, I sincerely hope (and pray) that this latest storm spares all of you more serious destruction. It is very kind of Nancy and you to help others less fortunate than you. God bless you for that!
As for the music, I m so happy you enjoyed it.
I was up for the eclipse. It was amazing! So are you.
      Love Ya!

Was busy playing catch-up from my cruise. So listened to both Monday & Tuesday. Enjoyed them both so much. Thanks and have a great day/week.

Nancy, I hope the cruise was enjoyable, even though I know it wasn’t the same. Keep on smiling!

Loved this on a very rainy day, while babysitting grandkids who are 1 and 4! And it took my mind off the elections, that become so divisive! Brings back those fond memories of more congenial times! Thanks Ray for the toe tapping, bad singing from me, and some great memories!! Music does bring us together!!!

    1. Ray (Post author)

Pete, babysitting grandkids always makes a rainy day a lot more enjoyable. I am so glad you enjoyed the music and I am always pleased when the music brings back memories! I couldn’t agree more with your final sentence!!

  9. Pat Conant

    1. Ray (Post author)

Congratulations on the Powerball win, Pat! By the way, I think most men are a work in progress. 🤣
