Monday doesn’t have to be the worst day of the week. We have all been conditioned to look at it that way but there are plenty of reasons to embrace it.
For starters, it means you’re one day closer to next weekend! Okay, that’s it, I have run out of ideas but … WAIT! … There’s also the fact that I have put together a 40 minute medley to help get you through the day!
How bad can that be? 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful day!
Times flys by with the medleys literally and figuratively
That was the fastest 40 minutes in a while
The Tommy Roe piece was not very familiar
The new format seems mutually beneficial
Thank you, Mary Helen 🥰
The Tommy Roe song reached #29 in the U.S. in 1969 and the Top 10 in both Australia and Canada.
I am so pleased to know you are enjoying the new format!
It’s nice of you to start of the day!! What a Gallery of great tunes. 1967 wow Ray could you please slow time down??!! Gees!! And you are sure as heck not Mellow Yellow!! IWonder what is a Pitney?? I don’t think it is part of the Gatlin oh well I was always full of the Byrds!! And yes it is a great to add a little country in the mix!! Ray does all the gold really come from California?? I love hearing that voice from the old radio days so I shall ask that you continue do so!! I am now speechless so I am just going to sore with the Eagles!! And this am you did put me on top of the world!! The only explanation I can think of is that the #One DJ put me there!! Enjoy your day Ray!! Love ya!! And you did take it to the limit!! So let’s go one more time!!
Thanks, Fred!
My, my, my, you certainly were on top of the world with your commentary today! Some days I ask myself what I think you’ll conjure up and you always seems to come through. That last song is my favorite Eagles song because of Randy Meisner’s vocal and his stunning falsetto.
You know how to make me smile!
Love Ya!
Good job today, Fred.
As always 🙂
I had a early morning appointment to get my car serviced and I was listening while waiting and the lady next to me said…what station is that, those are awesome songs. So I told her to check out Streaming oldies when she got home. <3
Thank you, Nancy! ❤️
That was so kind of you! You are now my official Florida press agent! ❤️
love, love, love!!! again you delivered a wonderful medley!! I have already listened to it twice today 🙂 Take it to the limit is my favorite Eagles song!! About a year or so ago, a local veterans group was doing a fund raiser and had a get together at a local hotel that I went to. There were many local acts performing as well as Larry Gatlin. I was shooting a video with my phone when he was singing this song…he’s like, are you recording this, security … then started laughing … I almost had a heart attack…LOL I could go on and on about all these songs but think I will just listen again ….
Thank you, Penny 🥰
I have always enjoyed Larry Gatlin’s music and now I discover he has a great sense of humor! As I said to Fred earlier, Take It To The Limit has always been my favorite Eagles song. Randy Meisner’s vocal on that gives me chills!
I am so happy you enjoyed it all!
XOXO
You have “taken it to the limit” again today. Gene Pitney sure has a lot of angst filled songs, and he sure has the voice for them. My mother-in-law used to have one of Skeeter Davis’s albums and played it a lot-love this song that you played, reminded me of her and the good times we had. Love all of the Eagles-could listen to them all day. All in all, a great medley by a great DJ!!
Thanks, Pat 🥰
Gene Pitney was the king of heartache songs. My mom and dad both thought Skeeter was someone very special. I’m glad you enjoyed the Eagles song. In fact, I’m happy you enjoyed the entire medley!
Oh my gosh, The Gatlin Brothers, I have always loved Larry Gatlin’s music. Gene Pitney there’s a voice from the past, With songs that always in to be so sad. And then of course we just can’t beat Stevie Wonder and what a special song by Skeeter Davis! I always love the Beatles and can’t ever listen to Karen Carpenter Without thinking how far she could’ve gone had she lived longer. But oh my gosh, the Eagles one of my favorite groups ever and this is my favorite song that they’ve done. This was an absolutely awesome over the top medley. Sorry I didn’t get to it on Monday too many things going on this has been a very busy week for me. But today trying to recover from the shots from yesterday, hopefully flu and Covid will stay away from me. I was able to just sit here relax and listen to music! Thanks Ray this was a real treat, and you are the best! 🥰
Thanks, Sandy 🥰
This one was a lot of fun to put together so I am thrilled that you enjoyed it. I hope your arm recovers quickly and yes, I hope Covid stays far away from you!
