Happy Wednesday!

This “no theme” plan is working out just fine. Well, it is for me and I hope it is for you.

Today we’re all over the musical map: slow ballads, Doo-Wop, hard hitting rock and roll, R&B, country, and even a sentimental song with a Polish chorus!

Hope you enjoy it!

Ray I hope this doesn’t sound Righteous but I think you fell into the Well! And you know I’ve always been a dreamer!! My my things must be Dusty in Springfield! Do they still have all those Stray Cats up there?? After all a little Respect for those cats!! And yes these are great songs!! I thought you were done with the law ??!! They mostly always win! Sugar and Spice Ray then you throw in a little sax!! Now you are trying to Charm us??!! Where did I go wrong Ray was it my pool game I knew My guitar solo was pretty darn good !! We never did drink alone and we never believed that Heaven would wait. But we always believed in love..
And I am so lucky I have my woman and she knows how much I love her!! So Ray I shall close this chapter and it was a great start to my day!! Love ya

This was fabulous! I absolutely have always loved the righteous Brothers, they never disappoint! Dusty Springfield, Bobby Vinton certainly made me sing along. Aretha Franklin and Jimmy Buffett, such big headliners. And Don Williams, I could listen to all day. Absolutely love that voice. You picked some real winners for me I’d just love this medley and I reserve the right to look at it and listen to it again. Thank you so much Ray for always picking the greatest hits, and for the knowledge that you have to be able to do that. I sure do admire your talents. Ray, you’re the best! 🥰

      Thank you, Sandy 🥰
Knowing you’re happy with the music puts me in a very good mood. And knowing that the switch to no themes hasn’t appeared to bother anyone is making my “job” a lot easier!

Great mix again today, Ray. Don Williams can’t be beat, and his song is really appropriate today. Question for Mr. DJ historian-who wrote the song & when was it written/recorded?

    1. Ray (Post author)

      Thanks, Pat 🥰
Don’s song is very appropriate today! The U.S. is going to hell in a very big hurry.
Answer: The song was written by Roger Cook and Sam Hogin, and recorded by Williams in 1980.

Thanks, Ray. I agree, we are going to hell in a hand basket, as my mom used to say!
