Your Requests, Part 6

Now that the fun and games with Facebook is over, I am going to focus on what’s really important … the music.

Today we turn to Part 6 of your music requests. While most of these requests come from the 60s and 70s, there are four from outside that range; two from the 1950s and two from the 1990s. It’s okay, though, all four are great songs, and hey, a request is a request.

Some of you are here because you came directly to the site, while others arrived via email. No matter which way you got here, I am very glad to have you.

Wow! Well done. The music started with a song I sang when I was real young. Lavender blue, lavender green; I think that was what influenced my love of lavender. Blues & greens were taboo to wear together & now I wear them all, including green hair (lol) I know this has nothing to do with the music. I have to say that I really enjoyed the medley today. You done good again. Would never try to sing along with the next two; she had a voice that would touch the soul & he was to high pitched for me to join in. My favorite Carole King songs were “It’s to Late” & “I feel the Earth move” but appreciate you adding today’s song as I think writers should be recognized. My favorite version is James Taylor’s. His voice pulled me in with “Handy Man” & learning he has a place in VT more recently. Did silently sing along with my memories as I sound best that way. When the music had ended told Ted I could guess which two has been 90’s & he googled Aerosmith & told me they were a 70’s band but The song had been released in the 90’s. Thank you for the e-mail, the music. memories & friendship 🙂

Lee, I just LOVE the way you incorporate the songs with your memories. ❤️
I prefer JT’s version of “You’ve Got A Friend” but the request was for Carole’s original (which ain’t too bad, by the way).
I have been saving some of the 50s and 90s songs for the end of this series.
      Tomorrow is going to R-O-C-K!
All my best to Ted. 🙂

This was certainly enjoyable, with such a mix of songs over several decades, all tied together as only you know how to do Ray! I loved every song some I haven’t heard for quite a while I don’t really have a favorite but I did especially love Bryan Adams, and Aerosmith. I have a lot of catching up to do. I missed three or four days, and will try to get most of those in today at some point. I don’t wanna get too far behind. Thank you so much for taking the extra time to email all of us to let us know how to get to your website. I haven’t committed to memory now. Thanks again hope you have a rocking good day, you are the best! 🥰

I did go back Ray and listened to quite a few medleys I would guess at least five today. They were all great and I did leave messages on the blog but nothing was attached to Facebook posts. Not sure how to even handle this now. It’s a little confusing.

I’m not sure what you mean 🙁
